CaptainForge
I've jump on the conversion bandwagon with the new Space Wolves spues and this is my first time attempting to play Space Wolves, so I was wondering if they can use Thunderfire cannons? I ask cause I have one that I had got to go with my Imperial fists, but thought it would be neat to make it all Wolfy. Thunderfire...yes or no? CaptainForge
Thanks for the response TBS. Yes Thunderfire Cannons are new, introduced when the new Space Marine Codex came out last year. Too bad the Wolves can't use them though. Guess it will go to my Imp Fists. spjaco
Now if you where to do one and played an Apocalypse (lotta points) level game and if your opponent agreed then you problably could get away with it. Wysten
Aye, Thunder Fire Cannons may be too much with wolves, considering how good we are already. If we could shell them from about 60" as well as being strong at close quarters, the Space Marines would be very miffed to have one of their unique gimmics robbed. Though that being said. We already have Long Fangs as our heavies, and they almost have the same range with Missles and Lazcannon and probably just as deadly in most situations. If not more. Except on really large tables. Torin
What wysten said is true. We already have a good CC base, by adding such fire power to the SW ranks would smell cheese. The fact that we already have the cheapest heavy support with the ability to shoot at 2 different target in the same turn is already superb. LoneSniperSG
If you want it, you do what I do. Buy it and paint it for a different chapter and use it for Apocalypse. Or, if your opponent is crazy enough he may allow you to use it. My friend lets me use my Baneblade once in a while, when he wants a challenge. It's only ever at the end of the real game though. My Baneblade gets to wipe out, or be wiped out by whatever is left of his army.
