Blitzkreig
Ragnar is the only way to get furious charge in a Space Wolf list, and we know how good that is. He's pricey, and fragile, but in those moments where only initiative 5 will do... Or Initiative 6 with a Forst Blade.... Hell I particularly love it when 4 different units are in range of the War Howl... Guest dcxiii
Ah, didn't realise Scouts were WS3 as well. That certainly balances it a bit for me. I guess I just wanted that WS4 to push them over the edge and justify using them in my force. It is interesting how people do use them though. Perhaps in an entirely Fluff-based force, I could do it, but I would like to work my way back into 40k with some easier victories under my belt! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207160-why-do-blood-claws-have-a-ws-of-3/page/2/#findComment-2471992 Share on other sites
Wysten
Scouts are weapon skill 4 though, I throught it was just bikers, Jetpack users and Bloodclaws which had weapon and bolistic skill 3 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207160-why-do-blood-claws-have-a-ws-of-3/page/2/#findComment-2472005 Share on other sites

Skirax
In short, they are Neophytes (which would be, in other Chapters, 'Scouts') in Power Armour. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
I have 3 blood claw packs of 8 each. I have them because my goal (which i have reached, just touching up stuff) is to field an entire Great Company. If i didnt want to field a Great Company and thought, fluff wise, having no blood claws would work, i wouldnt bother looking at them. Guest dcxiii
Scouts are weapon skill 4 though, I throught it was just bikers, Jetpack users and Bloodclaws which had weapon and bolistic skill 3 Yep, to clarify, I meant SM scouts, rather than Wolf Scouts. Sorry about the confusion. Wolf Scouts have risen in my "potential additions" list. I may have to find a way to use them when I get to around 1000 pts. Might have to have some Blood Claws solely because they provide some fun, fluff-wise. Might make for some good stories, and since 40k isn't all about winning, it could be fun. Plus I'm sure people have some great strategies that include them! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207160-why-do-blood-claws-have-a-ws-of-3/page/2/#findComment-2472196 Share on other sites
