Validar
First off, I'm fairly new, so don't shoot me for not knowing the "basics". Question: Do you get a cover save from Curse of the Machine Spirit? argument for: The power says that if the machine curse hits, vehicle automatically suffers a glancing hits, thus if it hits = glancing. argument against: It is still a psychic shooting attack and therefore it works exactly like someone shooting a gun - thus if a cover save would be appropriate if the librarian was shooting a pistol, it would also be applied when he shoots with curse of the machine spirit. Which one is right? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207220-psychic-shooting-and-cover-saves/ Share on other sites
amberclad87
I would say yes you would get a cover save. Pretty much anything that causes damage you can claim a cover save if you have it. stinkenheim
if a psychic shooting attack causes a wound (or in the case of vehicles glances/penetrates the armour) and the effected model is elligable for a cover save it would be allowed to take one. Obviously some powers do not cause wounds (Jaws of the World Wolf for instance) or are template weapons (destructor) and so would allow no cover saves. Others may have a special rule written into them, but on the whole if you are in cover and take damage you can use your cover save to try and stop it.
