biglou666
hey guys! im still in egypt, but making regular visits to the internet caf! anyways... i want to ask a question. can a man with two pistols fire them both. ive been leafing through the codex, and saw that vanguards can take two pistols each. my idea was : a ten man squad in a pod, all with double hand flamers. 20 flame templates fromm a single squad! is it possible? or would they be limited to ten shots. sadly i think it is the latter, but i recall a sisters of battle unit that all came with double bolt pistols as standard, i think they were called seraphims. does someone know the definitive rules regarding double pistols? thanks, biglou. (oh, and please dont take credit for my idea if it is allowed :P)
JamesI
No, it would not be allowed. Someone can only fire 1 gun a turn no matter how many guns they have (exception for monsterous creatures and attack bikes). Some codexes have a special rule that carrying 2 of the same pistol counts it as twin linked (such as seraphim). We don't have that rule.
Mattsama
No. Unless the models rules state otherwise, they can only fire one weapon.... Ahhh got lag ninja'd. I hate this WiFi!!

Morollan
10 points each for a S3 AP6 template? Unless you're fighting against hordes with low T I'd say it's not a particularly good move.
Mattsama
For 15 points less you could do it with DC and have a little better WS should you get charged, and a little more staying power with FNP. If you go all jump troopy thought, you'll end up paying a little more.
fivepointedstar
serephims twin linked hand flamers only count as one regular flamer. the bolt pistols on the other due have the twin linked ability. just so you know
Amsoly
I mean, I know that ten hand-flamers won't destroy everything, but hey: for 295 points we get 5 crazy VV all with infernus pistols and storm shields! Well except the sarge who would keep his power weapon ;).

Well except the sarge who would keep his power weapon ;). I used to run dual flamers way back in the day, and I do it again now with my assault squads... it's often difficult enough just getting guys out of way to make use of 2 templates... but yeah given exactly the right place and the right time, and the right movement, it might be cool.
