Karack Blackstone
My converting skills aren't where I want them to be, so I am limited as far as what I can do. Money hasn't been tight like it is now, so I had bought a pair of arms from FW to use. They're worth it to have, but need cleanup work. If converting lasts longer (I don't dispute that, plastic and resin are quite different...) then that's fine with me. I converted a Leman Russ Exterminator a while back, before we lost it, and found the experience rewarding. It just seems to cost less overall to get the resin and clean them up and treat them well, rather than to spend the money on a Dread and two Heavy Weapons teams. At least to me, it does. Bitz order the autocannons? Anyway, I'll raise a glass to your bit about your rewarding experience with conversions. It's really nice when I look at all these guys spamming the Black Reach dreadnoughts for their multimelta arms, and then I bust out my converted one. Ditto with the TLAC arm, and several other conversions I have. Blows the minds of my friends. I get it, though. Not everyone likes building the stuff as much as I do. Emphasis mine in two locations, for clarity and apparently missed comment. It's alright, and yes, I already had made a post earlier in this thread about getting the FW arms. They're quite nice, really. Just haven't had much use for them yet. That may change over time.
