Splinter
The start of perhaps the most expensive way of collecting marines. The Background is still fluctuating but is revolving around the idea of a chapter master falling to chaos and dragging half the chapter with him in a repeat of the HH. The force I'll actually'll be modelling will be elements of the second company; two seven man squads of tactical marines and a Captain. Might try a scratch built Landraider to boot aswell. Pictures will be up tommorow of what I've managed to complete so far when it's light. And yes... the Chapter name is deliberately controversial and inspired by Doctor Who. Splinter
Okay here we go; first three pictures of my first actual scale space marine. http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo117/BNC_Splinter/WIP3.jpg http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo117/BNC_Splinter/WIP2.jpg Quite proud of the back of the shins, I can see why though Lamenter suggested to take off the hip plates. They're at the wrong angle and practically disappear into the thigh once greenstuffed. http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo117/BNC_Splinter/WIP1.jpg 3rd of the trio the first space marine takes shape with the help of bluetack. Probably going to switch the 40mm for 30mm unless I make some really good basing.
