krewl
To bad, a dreadsock was always a good way of ensuring no rules shenanigens ;) (For the younger pups here, as dreads where a big heavy lump of metal, you could threaten to put them in a sock, swing it around and knock someone in the head with it. Doesn't work as well with a plastic dread though :D )* *Disclaimer; I will not be held responcible for anyone foolish enough to not take that as light banter, so anyone actually doing this can face his legal charges and/or bodily harm all by themselves. Valerian
you know i always did figure he lost his hand. actually fell handed works for him in this case. his hand was tainted/fell. dont know what the complaining is about. Here is what the complaining is/was about (from me at least) related to this. I thought that I was clear before, but maybe not. Bjorn was given the moniker "fell-handed" from Leman Russ himself for being deadly with his single-handed lightning claw (back before the retcon to start calling them wolf claws). That's it, it was simple. After Bjorn was eventually mortally wounded and interred into a custom Dreadnought, he kept his "fell-hand" in the form of his special lightning claw version of the dreadnought close combat weapon. Now, apparently, in the Horus Heresy Collected Visions art-book, some jackass thought it would be cool to have Bjorn, nicknamed the Fell-handed, to have to lose his hand because of Chaos taint (*snigger, snigger*). Oh the irony. I'm sure the guy is still patting himself on the back for being so clever. It would be like some fiction writer having Edward Longshanks getting his legs blown off by a canon, and how ridiculous would that be? legionless dog
Interesting, but annoying at the same time. I've been playing Space Wolves since Bjorn was invented and have never heard anything about him losing his hand, especially nothing about it getting cut off to avoid the spread of some Chaos taint. Since it is in some art-book series I think I'll just have to continue to ignore it and move on. Nothing to see here. V so im guessing you ignore the whole war in the web?seeing as thats only in said book too? or for that fact any of the nw hh books? or anything the black library makes? Bloodmange
Take a breathe and relax on the sarcasm wolves, it's getting a bit thick. I'd hate to have Rag come in here and close the thread due to mounting hostility. It's fluff from a non-codex source there by not canon. Wether you find it repulsive or not isn't the point of the thread. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of using the CC arm from a nurgle rotted dreadnought on the Venerable Spacewolf Dread from forgeworld. I don't think I'll do it since like others have said it's too chaosy and wouldn't look right on it at all. I think I'll just use their standard CC arm since that seems very fitting. Bloodmange
REALLY?! Whats your take on the whole Fell Handed moniker? And where does it say that Lemun Russ gave him the name?
