fivepointedstar
was looking all around and cant seem to find if BA honor guard can get SM bikes. It shows they can get JP's but no bikes. do I just points adjust up 10 points per JP, or what? fivepointedstar
then how does someone represent a honor guard squad if you choice a sm bike for your capitain, or chaplin Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207396-can-honor-guard-get-a-sm-bike/#findComment-2473813 Share on other sites
Morollan
Closest you could do would be to take a regular bike squad, add one biker, tool them up a bit and have a Sanguinary Priest on a bike join them. Would look similar to an honour guard and could be a decent unit. Brother Nathan
or if you have a friendly group of gamers you could compare and work it out using the normal marine codex as their command squad can take bikes(i think) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207396-can-honor-guard-get-a-sm-bike/#findComment-2474178 Share on other sites
Mattsama
Or you could just run a biker-boss, with a jump pack honor guard. He'll keep up with them. JamesI
sure. Remember, the biker HQ does not need to stay with the HG and they can stay together if they chose. Leonaides
there's nothing to stop an ic on a bike joining another squad that isn't on bikes. He could just as easily join a term squad, a tac squad or an assault squad. Wildfire
Ah, how I wish they included the biker option from C:SM. I wish that a biker captain allowed biker troops as well! Let them have the bike armies (though I agree about the artificer armor and grenade launcher) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207396-can-honor-guard-get-a-sm-bike/#findComment-2481835 Share on other sites
Wildfire
Let them. If assualt troops and bikers were both troops, I'd be in absolute heaven. No, wait. Absolute heaven would be if attack bikes were troops as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207396-can-honor-guard-get-a-sm-bike/#findComment-2482380 Share on other sites

Leardinal
I love bikes, but I agree with JamesI, if we could take full bike armies, the new codex would be essentially the older codex with new things and missing a couple things from that codex. Fluff wise, the codex says that Bikers seem to be considered..(strange?)...because they give up their natural tendency of flight for a ground bound vehicle. It also says they can't muster as many bikes as other chapters. Anyway, we wouldn't want to look like CSM, who got almost everything bare bones plus loads of variations and daemons, though missing very key units from vanilla marines. fivepointedstar
true Leardinal. which will be fun for me to do alot of "count as" for my blood dragons, with all the dragon mounts ill have to do. which adds all DC, an AS with dragon wings, and bikers on cold ones, and dreadnoughts as carnosaurs, and stegosaurs. I see now with that the chappy will be a good addition as always.
