Acquiring Meltaguns

The Tactical Squad comes with a Melta Gun, Flamer, Plasma Gun and Missile Launcher. Definitely a good buy for mixing in with a Wolf Pack box so you don't have to overwolf your models. (I prefer a much cleaner look with WG getting the really interesting pieces.)
The SW sprue has one.

I bought 8 sprues for the backpacks, the grey pelts and the plastic Meltas.

Note that he's talking about the old sprue (3rd Edition era), not the new ones that come in the Pack.

I've used the Rogue Market to succesfully trade bitz, too.

I find it ironic, for years SW players said "how will I get the plasma guns I need... now, or prayers have been answered and the newer crop asks "how will I ever find enough meltaguns?"

there is a melta on the new bitz sprue

What are you talking about?

GW sells the old bitz sprue we had in our GH/BC boxes as its own thing now, and he probly thinks that this is "new" because it didnt appear tell several months after our most recent codex came out.

This here

It was released as far as I knew in the fifth edition which is why I am suggesting it is new

Oh, yeah, okay. That is just a repacked sprue from the old 3rd Edition era boxed set, which is what we were already suggesting above. It isn't new at all, just available separately now.

If you want a good trading place, may I suggest visiting us at the International Brotherhood of Hobbyists here?

Skirax, what is this site? Is this Your initiative or what? Seems damn interesting but judging from the amount of topics, it is fresh new, isn't it?

Sadly, I had to purchase metal melta guns from GW's side directly. 5 for 6 or 7 bucks plus shipping I think.

*blinks* you could have gotten another small blister and gotten free shipping :S.

I got a codex with it too, so maybe I didn't pay shipping. Either way, if melta is what is needed, then a pack purely made up of meltas, is a good idea.

Set up by our own Pig of Sparta, the co-founder of the International Brotherhood of Hobbyists found in the Works in Progress section of the site. We're a growing community, and are basically an extension of this site, but sort of a go-between for other gamers, ie. Fantasy, Lord of the Rings, Warmachines etc.

Wait... that was the 3rd Edition?! I have been away a long time... <_<

I think I have a few of them left somewhere... I'll have to find them for my new SW Redux force :P

Yep, those sprues were made in 2000, which was a full 10 years ago now. Time sure flies, huh?
