Wispy
Those models are hideous. Waste of money, honestly. The ones on the Prospero Burns cover aren't nearly that porky. Sarapham
I actually think the wolves on the Book cover are supposed to be Fenrisian wolves, and also that model looks more like a Thunder Boar ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207477-prospero-burns/#findComment-2475032 Share on other sites
Karack Blackstone
Even if their legs were mostly bone and tendons, they look too big in the torso to be real. I vote, "No" to those models. LoneSniperSG
Those models are hideous. Waste of money, honestly. The ones on the Prospero Burns cover aren't nearly that porky. You know, I think it's funny how when the cover art was released, everyone howled and moaned about how terrible those wolves looked, now no one cares, and they look just like the ones in the picture for the Fenrisian Wolves entry. As far as the thunderwolf model you linked, I'm not sure I like it.. really it looks more like a boar or warthog than a wolf to me. But we're the Space Wolves, I can't tell you what to do for your army. Beef
I still hate the wolves on the cover of Prospero burns. They look like lions with goatees. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207477-prospero-burns/#findComment-2476456 Share on other sites
The Son of Russ
TBH i have never believed that the wolves of fenris are going to look like the wolves of earth, i mean, they could be higher or lower on the evolutionary scale and are completely separate to the wolf species, they are named fenrisian wolves due to the space wolves. Theres a bit of fluff somewhere that stated many of the flora and fauna of the Imperium was/is/are the (40k) modern versionsof flora and fauna samples of ancient Terra. So it stands to reason that Fenrisian wolves are in some way descended from terran wolves. I believe its possible that the earth lost its ability to sustain animal and plant life some one (probably the Emperor) thought it a good idea to ship the plants and animals of earth to other worlds that have climates matching those of earth. In a sense like Noahs ark. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207477-prospero-burns/#findComment-2476752 Share on other sites
