Njal and Nightwing

Recommended Posts

I just started using Njal in my games but I am unsure on one thing and that's Nightwing. In the Codex it says that Nightwing follows all the rules for COTS but does that mean that I can place a marker anywhere on the table as per the COTS rules and then in CC he counts as flying over to help Njal and then fly's back or is he a COTS that stays with Njal at all times and is a sort of mobile COTS.

Any thoughts on this.

On a side note can another RP use another RP's COTS.

He comes back- the area chosen he drops a drone or something.

Yes, its weird, but you get both effects.

As the entry for the chooser says should THE runepriest target a unit that also has LOS to the chooser he counts as +1 BS.. and not a runepriest I'd say it's specific to the one bought for the runepriest. (E.g. No other priest using their wargear.)

And yes for Njal you leave the marker on it's spot, no need to move it to Njal for CC and then back again.

You just get the extra attacks in CC.

That's bending the rules.

Nightwing acts as a chooser.

So you place a model somewhere for the 18" radius, and get the BS bonus once you and the chooser have LOS to the target.

Additionally Njal's Nightwing gives the free D3 attacks in CC. That does not change anything about Njal's choosers location.
