The casting is done with RTV (room temperature vulcanizing) silicon rubber to make th molds and then plain two part resin. The trick is finding somewhere you can order this stuff from (if your in the UK I use www.tomps.com)

cheers for that site, it is a good find for uk people, just a quick question what resin and rtv silicone off there did you pick?, im looking to do something similar to you but im not sure what products to use.

Well its been a hell of a long time since Ive had a chance to paint for anything more than a few minutes (work keeping me too busy). But with it now being the Easter hols I have a bit more time to get working on some toys again. Yays!

So without further ado here is the first drop pod for the Spears.

As you can see this guy is a little bare other than the conversion to make it capable of carrying termintors. This isnt anything to do with not having a lot of time for painting, more my opinion of what a drop pod should be like. In my mind this is something thats almost a missile. Because of this I cant see a lot of detailing/text being put on the outside of the pod.

Not so much love of the drop pod then. Oh well, they are boring (and Ive got another two to do.... urgh....). Onto something a little more interesting.

One more terminator done. This finished off all of those armed with storm shields. I really like the pose on this guy, he has this whole "sentinel" feel to him. Not much to him other than him being painted up, I tried to make the face an almost snarl of contempt which Im pretty happy with. Let me know what you think.

Sentinel feel indeed. I think he looks really badass. Love the little text on the inside of the shield, some battle prayer or something while he prepares to face the Emperors enemies in honourable combat.

Thanks guys.

One more terminator to add to the bunch. Again I spent some time trying to get the face looking as if he's going for a full on charge. I also wanted very little text on the armour. He doesnt need his past deeds displayed, he has his name on his shoulder in place of his personal livery and lets the wrath he unleashes each battle speak for itself. The only text is meant to honour the machine spirit of the power armour.
