The Divine Light of Sollex

So after putting much thought into it, I decided that I would base my first Mechanicus army off of the Imperial Guard codex. For the theme, I'm basing it off the Divine Light of Sollex from Dark Heresy; a mystical sect which focuses its worship upon the sacred technology of the laser. What I was going for when building the list was to have a few, very august and powerful worthies of the sect leading a mass of coldly fanatical, yet still human, soldiers. 1,999 points.

 

HQ:

-"Iron Hand" Straken, will count as a very strong Magos. 2x Meltas. A Medic so that the squad Feels No Pain. A Vox Caster so that the Omnissiah's wisdom may be spread. Carapace Armor for the lackeys. 220 pts.

-Counts-as Commissar Yarrick. This guy is covered in bionics, impossible to kill, and inspires faith and courage in his charges. Give him a red robe and he's a Magos. 185 pts.

 

ELITE:

-3x Ogryns. Make nice combat servitors. 130 pts.

 

TROOPS:

Hypaspist Platoon Aleph 574 pts.

-Command Squad: "Tribune" with power fist, and plasma pistol; he's a Magos too so he should get nice gear. Voxcaster. Lascannon. 110 pts.

-Hypaspist Squad 1: Tribune with plasma pistol. Commissar (counts as Magos) with plasma pistol to ensure compliance. "Ministorum" Priest with shotgun and Eviscerator to inspire the helots with sacred binary cant and give them re-rolls to hit in assault. Plasma gun. Vox. Lascannon. 205 pts.

-Hypaspist Squad 2: Tribune with plasma pistol. Melta gun. Lascannon. 90 pts. (I'll be combining them with Squad 1, so they don't need so many goodies.)

-Special Weapons Squad: 3 Melta Guns. 64 pts.

-Sagitarii Heavy Weapons Squad: 3x Lascannons. 105 pts.

 

Hypaspist Platoon Beth 520 pts.

-Same as above but without the Priest or Commissar. Archmagos Yarrick will join the combined infantry squads.

 

FAST ATTACK:

-3 Praetorian Gun Servitors (Scout Sentinels). 3 Lascannons. 150 pts.

-3 more Scout Sentinels. 3 Lascannons. 150 pts.

- Armoured Sentinel. Plasma Cannon. 70 pts.
