I wanted my Björn to be a littlebit bigger than usually, so i used legs from that

new Venerable Dreadnought set (Amazing 5mm more!!!). Torso is from the Forge World.

PlamaCannon is magnetized (I rarely use anything else, but just in case...)

EDIT: I just had to add better angled photo here. The upper one is screwed.

P.S. Yes i know it's StormBolter and he has HvyFlamer. That new flamer that goes under

DCCW just looks so silly.

If Terminator Sergeants don't use helmet why should he. Ever thought about that? :pirate:

I always like to think that the actaul marine is further back in the chassis and that the helmet/slit is more of a camera thingy connected via wires to the guys brain. With the head popping out it makes him look like he is just a head in there, also they're meant to be in a tank of amniotic fluid (or in the case of space wolves beer). But it's your model so i wont stop your fun

To be frank, the main reason to but that head on Björn was that it looked fun.

I wanted Björn to look exremely old, but still not too serious. My opponents

always laugh at my Björn (Look at that old guy...) well atleast until he

blasts them to oblivion with his PlasmaCannon.

I thank you for you comments and i totally see your point.

Yeah, agree with this. I see what you were trying to do Bad Sam, but it still looks weird. Good painting though, and I think you've done a good job with these Dreads and your Swift Claws in the other thread.

So I guess you are a fan of Dreadnoughts then :)?

Great looking models - made me decide to get some for my army.

Just a quick question, if I may - looking at Dreads on Forgeworld, do you get any choice what base/legs comes with what Dreadnought, or is it totally random? I know you used to be able to buy the sculpted bases separately (such as the one stepping on the engine of another Dreadnought), but I can't see them in the online store any more, and the pictures for a certain body have differing legs between them all. Kinda confused, and hoping you can help out as you have a few FW dreads.

FW Dreads come with plain black base. Sculpted bases must be ordered separately. MKIV legs dont fit in that basic sculpted dread base. (Those bases has foot added already.) MKIV is that with the engine thing.

Order dreadnough sculpted bases from here, No pics tho...

Oh and remember to order arms too! I remember one bloke who forget that once... :)

I hope this helps.

Yea, I like all your dreadnoughts, and Bjorn especially...except that head. It looks ridiculous, to be honest. Like he stuck his head out of the window and someone rolled the window up. Or like someone cut his head off and stuck on a spike on the outside of the sarcophagus. Or like he's got a giraffe neck.

If you could somehow fit the head completely INSIDE the head area, THEN it would be awesome....probably the coolest Bjorn I've ever seen.

Defence Statement!

Lets compare Björn to Normal Terminator. Their torsos are pretty much the same.

And their heads come out there just the same amount (more or less)

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/Bad-Sam/Bjornvstermis.jpg

In this photo his head looks ok well at least to me.

http://i887.photobucket.com/albums/ac71/Bad-Sam/Bjornup2.jpg

So ladies and gentlemen. Conclusion is that the initial photo was little bit distorted.

(Yeah blame the camera!) and thats why his head lookes a littlebit weird to some

of you (all of you actually :D)

And if you still disagree, well then we just have to call him The Last Camel-headed Company of Russ.

Poor Björn.

I get what you're saying, but the thing is that a Marine isn't at the front of a Dreadnought like that. He's a little bit deeper inside because he needs space for things like legs and lots of cables and the massive armor plates of the Dreadnought...

A Terminator's head is where it is because it's just a breastplate over his chest.

There's a reason that you only ever see the top half of a Marine's head when they're inside one of these semi-open Dreadnoughts.

Hey man, as long as you like it, that's all that really matters (unless you're trying to win a contest or something....then if you like it or not is fairly irrelevant...) ^_^

I know, I know and believe or not i really appreciate that you commented this mini.

And i really like him. To me its custom-Build Dread. One of its kind and it sure has no helmet.

He kicks ass and dominates the battlefields with his PlasmaCannon and unerring eye.

He's Björn, Trueclaw and Last ot the Company of Russ.

He really does look extra weird in that first picture you posted. The two new ones look more or less alright.

But still, I couldn't resist:

Please excuse my use of the primitive MSPaint technology. My PhotoShop appears to be broken and refuses to reinstall now that I reformatted my PC....

Also, Plasma Cannons FTW!

hey man, definitely love the Bjorn conversion... actually plays on some ideas that i had for my raven guard, where instead of venerated "near dead" marines being permanently encased in the dread body... they are mining vehicles (like in the Aliens movie) that have been modified for war purposes :P

and you definitely have a nice sweet paint job on those minis as well. i commend you!

10 cases of the finest Fenrisian Mead for you!!
