Scout Bikes 5 or 10?

Hello everybody!

 

Just plugging away at my scout army, and had a question about bikes. I have 5 already, but would it be beneficial to play with 7 or even 10? 3 Have Astartes Grenade Launchers, while the sergeant has a combi-flamer.

 

Here's what else is in the list:

 

2 Land Speeder Storms (can be fitted with either MM, HB or HF)

2 10 Man Sniper Squads

3 10 Man Close Combat Squads

2 10 Man Bolter Squads

5 Bikes

Telion

3 Missile Launchers, 3 Heavy Bolters

10 other spare dudes, with shotguns, bolters and CC weapons

6 Sergeants armed with various equipment.

 

Let me know if I should add more bikes.

 

I plan to get up to a total of 100 scouts soon.

bikes work better in higher numbers, ten would let you combat squad to tie up more units with alpha strikes.. im currently using 8, numbers count in assault and you want that fist plugging away for aslong as possible.

not only that but 5 with 3GL doesnt leave alot of spare bods... 4+ saves only goes so far, id suggest at least one spare bod for every special biker.. so if ots a sergeant and 3GL youd want about 8 bikes

If your objective is actually to use them as a long-term combat unit, adding more normal bikers to buffer the units losses against losing the upgraded models is a good idea.
