Trouble choosing a marine army

Enjoying the fluff of that army is a big part for me, so be sure and read up on each of those and that can often decide for you by how they draw you in or not. Each of those Marine armies fights and plays differently, and I fight each one often. Death Guard are nightmarishly tough and frightening, the Blood Angels are a very elegant and rapid-strike force, and the Space Wolves are a great individualistic army, each warrior looking different.

Best of luck in your choice, and may it serve you well.

P.S. The Wolves of Fenris await, make Russ Proud! (totally not biased at all...what, stop looking at me that way!)

Pick your army based on the fluff. I don't know anything about Death Guard, but both Space Wolves and Blood Angels can be potent armies on the table. So don't worry about the stats just yet--find the characters and the feel you like and then go with it.

I'd say a combination of looks and fluff, for me when I was choosing an army it was between Salamanders, Blood Angels and Space Wolfs. For me it came down to the fact I loved the individuality look of the Space Wolves, each one could be it's own character rather than just a clone of the others. After that I've just fallen more and more in love with the SW fluff and I'm in the process of writing fluff for my company.

At the end of the day you are going to have a good bit of money and effort invested in your army so it might as well be one you love to look at and read about.

Blood Angels: Speedy assault nutters who like brushing their hair.

Death Guard: Scary relentless foot soldiers who.... smell funny.

Space Wolves: Can assault, footslog, mech, droppod, shoot, or make any kind of army effectively whilst remaining individualistic drunks.

Ask yourself why you like to fight. If the answer is for honor, glory, protection of the innocent, or just for the sheer fun of it, then play wolves.

Hey i am having trouble choosing a marine army i really like space wolves but i am torn between space wolves, blood angels and death guard ....please help

It's honestly a question of which combination of models and playstyle do you enjoy. The correct answer of Space Wolves to one person is the wrong answer to person number two. My favorite are Night Lords but I have a good 4-5 packs of Space Wolves because I loved modeling and painting them.

These are general ideas so don't take them as absolute gospel but Blood Angels are usually all-out quick-hit armies, Space Wolves are more of a short to medium range defensively aggressive army, and Death Guard are highly defensive and open up the doors to other Chaos models. So, I want to go all-out attack = Blood Angel, I want to get in their face and dare them to punch me = Space Wolves, I want to be the rock that breaks the assault = Death Guard.

The second main factor is painting: Blood Angels are usually very bright and clean, you can really play up the Gothic/Supernatural Angel of Death with them, Space Wolves are Space Vikings are fun to make look rough and tumble with various animal pelts and skins, personal runes, battle scratching, wild hair and fangs, and what have you. Death Guard are another modders dream because if you ever enjoyed the drawings of Pushead for Metallica, you can go to town and field a fluffy army of his pictures. Dirty, rusty, bloated, infectious nightmares of a quarantined zone go wrong if you will.

Play some games with 'counts as' models with friends, see which style comes naturally to you, then look at the model ranges. It should make the decision for you.
