I saw your new codex online today, printed it out and read trhough it.

It seemed like a mess. The one assassin has two guns and have proxy-relentless and it claimed that he could shoot two shots with the pistols. Made no sence to me.

Also both codexes (demon hunters and witch hunters) keep refering to a bunch of in game objectives that no long aply. It seems like they just cut out the part where you can team up with other armies.

Am I correct in any of this? It all seemed a mess.

Your english is what doesn't make sense - no offense but a spell check and a proof read isn't a bad thing :/

I'm assuming you're talking about the codex's off the gamesworkshop website. Those aren't new. They're just PDF's of the current/old codex's that have been around since 3rd edition. The double shot with the pistol would be the eversor assassin. He has a special ability that means he shoots a pistol twice instead of just once like most people shoot pistols. Nothing too confusing. I don't fully understand the rest of what you're trying to articulate but I don't think there's too much in there thats outdated. What pages in particular are you referring to?

the pdfs were placed in the GW website becuase they arent printing any new ones (methinks its becuase they are working on an updated version).. yes they are official but no they dont override the codex either (they are the same thing).

I guess those without the true version are punished by not being allowed allies, but if rumours are anything to go by, this maybe a trend that continues into the upcoming codex.

Yes alot of the rules are outdated, alot of the anti-daemon powers are no longer useable as "instablity" is no loner an issue for daemons.. there are other examples too.

Okey, so they can still take allies? I was looking but I did not see anything.

If they are bnot printing up any more then that does not have to be all that bad.

Anyway, I still do not se how the verton assassin can shoot twice, since a model can use only one shooting attack. As far as I can see the rule refers to back then when pistols had rapid fire but a range of 12".

Yeah I know the spelling is off the charts Shoitaan but I am a dyslextian with English as the second language so bite me. :)

Only if they have the original codex..

Its one of those special codex rules.. (codex trumps rulebook in these matters), the rule were written before the Assault 2 type rules were invented... just treat it as that.

I wouldnt worry too much, im not dislexic and my typing is atrocious at times (knowing how to spell and actually typing are too different things)..

Can someone link to the pdfs? I can't seem to find them on the site. Where is it?!

First you need to have access to the site by signing up. Then you will find the pdf for each under the articles for each army.

Didn't mean you offense dude, I work in academia so bad writing gives me the :cusss. Also, usually when you see poor english in a forum, its not because of dyslexia ;)

If I see an Eversor on the table, we just treat it as assault 2. I suppose it may depend on your opponents on how anal they get. All in all, I find that the characters with outdated/irrelevent rules and abilities are typically not fielded anyway as they're not exactly useful. Mind you, I'm talking about WH as they're my army. I don't know too much about the DH codex.

When I saw 'High' on the description for this topic I thought "d@mn bro, I guess it is 4/20 somewhere in the world!" (..... or was that just me?)

Answer to your question: yes, it is official - more than a little behind, but official. Play it as it reads.

anyone elce notice they took out the "Universal Special rules" section for the Grey Knights... i would have thought that would have been one of the things that would have stayed permament, and they are much more survivable with them in. now we lose the shroud and true grit ^_^

Can't believe I missed this topic somehow.. ahem..

Please refer to my stickied post up at the top of the forum, The Final Word on the PDFs: As posted on the GW Website

As the question has more than been answered, I'm closing this topic.
