jeremy1391
Ok so I have been thinking of picking up two iron clad dreadnought for the soul purpose of using them as furioso's the first would be a two blood fist furioso the second would use the two chain fist hands to be my count as blood talons. Would this look ok or am I just a rambling drunk? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207828-iron-clad-as-a-furioso/ Share on other sites

Leardinal
Many people do do this. I have no problem with it and was in fact planning on doing it myself until I took out all vehicles from my army. My group is very hobby oriented though, (see rough riders on cold ones..) and so are very accepting of conversions and "counts as," though I think even the strictest rules lawyers would accept the dreads. calgaryBA
Good idea, I might have to steal this. I was looking around to make some DC dreads to add to the collection and i want them to stand apart from my regular furiosos and dreads. mikeb
I'm doing the same thing except that I also have a ven dred without arms that will be painted all black for a DC dred. All the arms will be magnetized as well as the hands so I can swap between talons and fists or possibly even a force weapon if I'm going with a libby dred. I just need to scratch build some talons, but I have an idea of using some ork blades from the bitz box on some kind of round bases. Cstriker01
Just curious, does anyone know what GW did to make blood talons in the dex? Â In addition it would be nice to see an actual BA sprue box like the black templars stuff...get some vehicle pieces in there too...frag cannons, blood talons, dread pieces, rhino and land raider parts, and infantry bits. Tame
Just curious, does anyone know what GW did to make blood talons in the dex? Â Nobody knows for sure... IronKobra
I did much the same thing, using the Ironclad to make a model for 'Moriar', our gone but not forgotten DC Character dread... garfey
IronKobra - That DC dread looks amazing!!! Love the BA extra's you chucked on there. IronKobra
I wouldn't think he needs to...his painting puts mine to SHAME! SHAME I SAY! but thank you, l am pleased with him thus far. I am still pinting him at the moment. that pic is before highlights started. Â but the point of the post is yeah, i think since BA can't take ironclad as an option, it shows use of the awesome model is still viable! BLACK BLÅ’ FLY
To me the Ironclad makes sense since Furioso dreadnaughts have front and side armor value 13. It's a cool looking model as well. Â Â Okay...I did not put rambling drunk. To whatever MOD thinks they are being funny, stop it. Â Â Seeing as there is no "Edited by" tag in your post you know a mod did nothing to your post. Â Mods can't edit a post and there not be a tag. Not only that but any action taken by mods or admins towards threads/posts/accounts/etc. is logged in the AdminCP. There are 2 actions in relation to this thread. The first is a mod approving a post in this thread -- i.e. yours cause you got yourself on moderator preview for your past behavior and 2 is myself, approving the post I've quoted above. Either way, edits would still be tagged. Â So either you posted it and forgot (probably) given that your posts have a lag time before they show or you left yourself logged in and someone where you post from posted for you (seems unlikely). Â We now return you to your regularly scheduled posting. Â To the OP: Are you going to be running both dreads together? Or just one at a time? If the later option you may want to just buy 1 dread and then bits buy the two arms from the various bitz sellers. Would be cheaper to swap arms as necessary if you are just running 1 dread. GlauG
I should, in retrospect, have magnetised the hands on all of my dreads... I have one pair of the Ironclad right CCW hand I modded into Blood Talons with combat blades, another pair of Seismic Hammers (modded one onto a right atm) I'm using for Blood Fists, and another pair of fists... I should really have at the unpainted ones to magnetise them. OP, thanyou for the idea of the chanfists as Blood Talons also. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207828-iron-clad-as-a-furioso/#findComment-2480375 Share on other sites
ImperialReaper
I am using a venerable Dreadnought as a Furioso. Looks cool as well and I really dont see why the furioso model is more expensive than the normal one while not looking much different. Leardinal
I like the Ironclad, but I am using the new Venerable dread for the sheer amount of converting you can do with it, (although I still need the right arm of the Iron clad..). What really surprised me was that the Venerable was the cheapest dread between the 3 plastic kits. lounahtic
i really like the chainfists as blood talons... it really sell the part where if you wound a dude you keep going... that's what i think off when i think of chain things... as for blood talons.. i imagine 3 'fingers'.... i dunno why... do birds have 3 toes? is that where i get it from?... maybe raptors... how many toes do they have... hmmmm.... i would model the blood talons after raptor feet....
