As one of my kids managed to get run over by a car yesterday (he's ok, just bad bruising) things have been a bit, yeah... anyway, got the gold done, highlighted the metal on the AC's, chains on the nid, bit of highlights on the yellow stripes and some freehand, and the U's... I tried to go for an embroidery effect (big nod to giganticdark's excellent forgeworld UM redux's banner see http://coolminiornot.com/218198 ) and it's sort of working a bit. And the comments of the Nid not blending enough really went down the drain when you hit the final colors on the banner. It shows enough, but not too much still. I love how the Nid is one of those details that doesn't immediately ask for your attention but is a little 'ooh nice' thing once you notice it. And this model seems filled with it! Doesn't seem so (is that blue tack? xD) - Is the torso glued to the legs? Don't think so either, since in previous picks it looked more tilted to the DCCW side and now it looks more straight. Comments: - The text on the shoulders might not have enough contrast... might be because you haven't finished the letters. Just as an idea... how about using "empty" letters?
