The Normish
I still can't get over the amount of detail and work you poured into this. I can only hope to emulate this dedication in my projects. The stitching is a remarkably nice touch as well, as is all the text. Chaptermaster Graymantle
Thank you The Normish! I am afraid I have a weakness for putting far to much effort into everything I do, but I am glad that I inspire you. :) Thought I would share a detail I completely forgot about today. The end of the banner pole, on the Ultramarines side: http://www.codexguardianangels.com/ultramarines-banner/end-of-banner-pole.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207948-the-siege-of-zalathras-commemoration-banner/page/3/#findComment-2518354 Share on other sites
Captain Mick
Another  for this detailing, ur a true artist. They should have a spot at the GW Art Department for you and even if they dont they should make room for it  . Chaptermaster Graymantle
Thank you Captain Mick! I would love to work for GW if I could earn a living from it. - I would even move to the UK if needed, but my guess is they already have enough people working for them. So, here, finally, is the last detail. The last triangle shows us WHERE the Siege of Zalathras took place. The star map shows the star route from Ultramar to Zalathras, with blue gems representing Imperial held star systems and the red gem representing a star system under siege. The letters tells us the names of the places and how many habitable planets are in the region. Now we will have to wait for the next update from the Ultramarines the movie site to see more art made in relation to/for the movie. Cheers! http://www.codexguardianangels.com/ultramarines-banner/triangle03.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207948-the-siege-of-zalathras-commemoration-banner/page/3/#findComment-2521824 Share on other sites

The Normish
It was truly great to have been presented with the story of this beautiful banner, it's intricacies, and it's explanations. If this is your final detail, then hats off to you, Chaptermaster Graymantle. Chaptermaster Graymantle
Thank you Captain Mick and The Normish! This is indeed the final detail. I am a bit disappointed that after the Ultramarines the Movie site got redone, the page for the winners is now gone. http://ultramarinesthemovie.com/competition/winners Maybe it will come back up again when they decide it is time to show us the rest of their favourite entries, as we were promised that "other favourites of the judging panel, will appear on the site very soon". Anyway, on to making something else now - and thank you to everyone who commented, I appreciate it! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/207948-the-siege-of-zalathras-commemoration-banner/page/3/#findComment-2525038 Share on other sites
