Lemartes as 5th Death Company member

he's essentially a unique DC, in fact, i might be swayed to think that Tycho counts too, but i'm not about to try and argue about it here. but the DoM and all the unique 'nid creatures that count as their basic types, but no where in their rules does it say they are one. so i think the same should go for lemartes if not DC tycho. i know you aren't supposed to use rules from one codex in another, but i'm applying the same logic.

zealadin,

fist, do not refer to posters as "annoying retarded rule wording lawyers" just because you disagree with them. B+C encourages constructive discussion, calling a poster retarded is hardly constructive.

second, its just like the Honor Guard issue. A regular Honor Guard member is type Honor Guard and can get Honor Guard stuff, a Novitiate or champion can not. A Death Company model is type Death Company, Lemartes is not.

I have no idea if GW meant Lemartes to count, but by the other similiar examples (Honor Guard) they do not.

If Lemartes and DC Tycho count, why not other DC dreads?

Say I take 9 DC and a DC dread, that is 10 DC models, so I should be allowed another DC Dread.

Rules Lawyer doesnt equate to wrong, Zealadin.

Try not to be so vociferous when it seems that it's you that are having the comprehension issues.

DC Dreadnought Rule:

"You can include one DC Dread for every dive Death Company models in your army"

Death Company Rules:

Unit Composition: 3 Death Company.

Lemartes Rules:

The Death Company can include Lemartes.

How does the fact that they are in the same squad and have the same ability suddenly make "Lemartes" a "Death Company" model.

If you use that logic then you must argue that Lemartes is able to have upgrades that DC models have or that Noviates may have special weapons.

This is not the case.

Simple fallacy.
