Pure Tzeentch.

I'm thinking of building a pure Tzeentch list. Now obviously, this army will have awesome firepower, but lack slightly in the combat and endurance departments.

Is there anything you guys can suggest to offset this ?

Also - HQ choices. So far im thinking Kairos and Two Heralds on Chariots, but Im open to suggestions.

I'm also thinking of filling my Heavy Support with 3 Daemon Princes, all kitted out for combat. Good or Bad idea ?

Final point; Do you think I should do an Symmetrical list, so that each wave is the same ? Or should I purpously build my list for one half to arrive first ?

If so, which units would you suggest in each wave ?

Thanks in advance.

Well to start of with I think that the HQ is the best for the pure tzeentch build. In fact it's really the only good one.

You should have your princes built for assault because they'll be the only thing capable of any sort of assault.

I think big units of flamers, and 20 man horrors are a must.

Not quite sure about the symmetrical thing, but i've never done it and it works fine for my tzeentch heavy list.

Good luck!

For Princes I reccomend taking;

3x Prince with Unholy Might, Mark of Tzeentch, Bolt of Tzeentch and Breath of Chaos.

They aren't fast but can pump out an S8 shot each a turn, use the breath weapon when the enemy gets close and then charge in stomping on them with S6.

I'm doing much the same, and you can find my list in the thread "Beginnings of a Servant of Change" in the Maleficorum.

Always fill one HQ slot with 2 Heralds on Chariots, with at least Bolt, then add Kairos from there. And your Heavy choices should definitely be MoT Princes, with firstly Bolt, and then Breath, and then Might and Wings from there. Being MCs with a 4++ from the start is a good show for CC. Bolt allows them to drop a S8 shot and from there it's just icing on the deliciously painful cupcake.

However, I disagree with Locmac on the 20 man Horror squads. I usually go for multiple 6-8 man squads. and then at least 2x 3-man Flamer squads. I find smaller squads are easier to keep alive and it allows me to pump just as many shots into one target or spread my fire out more when facing MEQ or elitist lists. And the changeling, while it rarely works, is cheap for what you get.

As for waves, keep them fairly even. However, I drop 2/3 of my Princes in the first wave. That way I have something to soak up first turn fire.

Best of luck!
