Blood Claws vs skyclaws

Cause Skyclaws are more crazy according to fluff? But honestly I don't know - I have not even noticed this until You brought this up. Swiftclaws can't have it either. Maybe that's just another oversight on part of GW, or they did this intentionally to increase the cc nastiness of Skyclaws?

From what I gather, once you go Skyclaw you almost never come back.

Even though their stats are the same as Blood Claws the way I interpret the fluff it seems like the Skyclaws are veteran/older Blood Claws that haven't reigned in their wild side.

Being the case that they are "old" enough to be promoted into the Grey Hunter Brotherhood, it fits that a few of the wildest Skyclaws would fall to the Wulfen, as some Grey Hunters do.

Just one of the idiosyncricies of the codex. Just like WG not being able to join Skyclaws, even with a JP.

Fluff justify however you want.

Yeah, no real good reasoning my opinion. He should have allowed the same upgrade options and ability to be lead by a WGL for all three Claws types. Their differences would be in "transportation" and unit size. Just would have been more consistent and made better sense; wouldn't have broken the game, or made the units too powerful, so why not? Not sure if they even did it on purpose, or realized it until already published.

I'll probably say he tried to overnerf the blood claws and succeeded. The skyclaws having it was simply because they did not need nerfing. I don't see any other reason why MotW would not be in one of the most wild packs.

I would take skyclaws over blood claws every time. Scoring? Phh, we have grey hunters for that. Skyclaws gives them something else to shoot at without requiring a Land Raider for them.

Still an errata or something would have been released no?

Only if the designers really cared about making each codex a better codex, and the game a better game. I am of the opinion that they do not really care. Once one project is completed and the resulting cash flow starts pouring in, they are off to work on the next one. Why fix something that has already been bought and the models are flying off of the shelves anyway?

Why not have two or three guys who play test and design/write for each type of army (one for BA, one for Ultra/Typical SM, one for SW, Chaos, Imp, Orks, etc). They come up with an idea/product and there you go. They could also come up with ideas and forward them to the design team which would model it, along with their own ideas.
