I Shun You!
I'm wondering where to get more missle launchers for my long fangs, and the devastator box only has one. Any good ideas to find more there are non on ebay safely. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/ Share on other sites
Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
There are ones on ebay, and transactions are safe. You just need to look fairly regularly to see when they come up. There are also ones on Warhammer bits sites. Search for "Warhammer 40k bits" and a few sites will come up. If they don't have missile launchers now, they will sometime soon. The only problem with all this is that missile launchers are so damn expensive. Thunderhawk3015
You can also try your fellow hobbyists. Odds are someone has some spare floating around either from Tactical Squad Boxes or from their marine vehicle projects. SJumppanen
I got mine from those people who bought lots of 40K starter kits (Black Reach -boxset?) and sold them in smaller portions. I also got few just by asking from other SM players, some of them had still some 2nd. edition marines and stuff like that. Night Runner
Forgeworld has the older versions. They are sweet and I actually prefer them, but they are rather expensive. SeanyPrawny
I have many many tak=nks so I just used hunter killers. Didn't even convert just plonked em onto the held out shooty arms and it looks fine :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2483192 Share on other sites
The_Betrayed_Spacewolf
if you know some guard players they may have some left over. just get an outstreched bolter or bolter pistol arm remove said gun add on missile launcher. you may not like the idea but a missile launcher is essentially a tube with a propelled explosive inside (side note: no im not getting technical and no its not asked for even if i am wrong i dont care) but you could get a some cheap plastic rod with a hollow center and use the above idea if you dont have a guard player nearby. Wolf Brother Osric
My friend who plays Chaos got a Havoc Launcher and cut it into 3 parts, each with 2 tubes. Stuck them on his marines arms and it looked sweet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2483677 Share on other sites
Heimer
Personally I have greenstuffed several missile launchers. In my opinion they are some of the easiest items to greenstuff. That said, it might also work to find a friend who play orks and share some Assault on Black Reach box sets with him - that should make about 20-25 £ for the marines of one set, which includes a dreadnought w/ multi-melta and a marine w/ missile launcher and one with flamer. In my experience ork players are more than happy to get their hands on some easy-to-assemble boyz too, so it should be a nice deal for both of you :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2483761 Share on other sites
Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
You can also try your fellow hobbyists. D'oh, how did I forget to mention this earlier. That's how I got half my missile launchers. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2483860 Share on other sites
Captain Trivia
Same here, bought like 3 missile launchers from a guy who was getting rid of his SM armies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2483933 Share on other sites
Whitefireinferno
Hey if you like I can link you to a tut I will be writing later on today when the sun comes up, Since I need to do a tut showing my method of plastic Termie Psy hoods and it is not a hard thing to modd some hunter killers into a couple of Missle launchers as long as I have the right arms. Sven_Bloodhowl
BitandKits usually has plenty quite cheaply so long as you live within the UK, i myself haven't had problems with their service but friends from overseas have had a few mistakes. Skalver
Forgeworld has the older versions. They are sweet and I actually prefer them, but they are rather expensive. Well you can get 4 sets of the forge world missile launchers plus a box of Space Wolves for £66. That is two squads of long fangs with 4xML each for £6 more than you would pay for two boxes of devastators, plus they are made entirely of Space Wolf parts and you have 8 flamers and 8 meltaguns left over to put in your bits box. It strikes me as a pretty cost effective way to add long fang packs to your army (assuming you like missile launcher spam that is). LPetersson
I got a boat load of MLs from some bits shop. I think it was http://bitzbox.co.uk but I could be wrong... I didn't get the special backpacks, but I have MLs... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208110-missle-launchers/#findComment-2484178 Share on other sites
