Lotaurus
Perhaps you could be slightly sick and have the next Chapter Master eat the old one or drink blood or something and adopt the name as suggested above? After all then he'll get the memories? That would be a bit too much traitor legion I think. It is a really nice concept, be great to see the finished version :P Thanks. On the other hand, EATING the previous Chapter Master is likely to invite unwanted attention from the Inquisition, as the Sons of Malice learned. The Grail Wardens Chapter Master MIGHT get away with the "eat your predecessor" thing if the previous Chapter Master's skull was made into a kapala or cup- he can consume the brain in the process of making the cup, without any outsider the wiser. Lotaurus
Well, this whole 'cannibalizing' thing is a bit over top for me. And, it wouldn't fit to this chapter I think, regarding that it is supposed to be pure. On the other hand it could show the problems that could occur if you're exposed to chaos/warp influence. But I think I won't go with it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208149--/page/2/#findComment-2487067 Share on other sites

One of the organs - I forget its name, as usual - allows digestion of organic material to draw on some of the deads memories or thoughts.. So it does happen! Knurd
So far from what I have read i think that Sanguinius would be a good gene father for your chapter. It was said that no one was closer to Horus, other than the Emperor, than Sanguinius. It would kind of make sense for a BA successor chapter to avenge Sanguinius by going after Horus' second-in-command. Also, The Blood Angels already use chalice iconography since they have their own chalice with Sanguinius' blood. Just a thought. Lotaurus
Also, The Blood Angels already use chalice iconography since they have their own chalice with Sanguinius' blood. Yeah I know. But I think it would be somekind of lame to use he chalice as well and be a BA successor. I don't know. And there's the whole Rae/Thirst thing going on. Black Templar successor is ok, I think. The whole chalice thing fits with that too (Grail Knights *cough*).
