Ensis Ferrae
This question has come up in theory by my gaming group, since my buddy plays a Calgar clone, and whenever he takes marines, i take my tyranids... If he is wanting to assault my Hive Tyrant, with the Indescribable Horror upgrade does the God of War rule come into play? I know that any unit in his army while He is alive can pass morale checks, but the Indescribable Horror forces units to take Leadership checks, so is this semantics, or a genuine difference to force Calgar's force to "rethink" an asault? wheelballer
I could be wrong on this but I am pretty sure God of War wouldn't affect the Hive Tyrants Horror rule. God of War allows automatic pass/fail of all morale check. While (if you're correct), Indescribable Horror causes a Leadership check. Now a morale check is a type of leadership check, but a leadership test is different from a morale test. So I would say that the marines will still have to roll the leadership test when assaulting your Tyrant. Ming
I agree. Leadership is not interchangeable with morale, so he'd have to pass the test using his LD10... Seahawk
A Morale Check is a type of Leadership Test, but a Leadership Test is not a Morale Check. God of War does not apply here. Grey Mage
The "Indescribable Horror" upgrade on a Tyrant is in fact a Leadership test. Not to be confused with "The Horror" psychic power, wich is a Morale test. Frosty the Pyro
God of war has no impact on indescribable horror, on the other hand, indescribable horror is a massive wast of points, not as bad as pyrovores, but still pretty bad.
