Mr Astorath...

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

Today I popped to the shops and bought myself the loverly Astorath the Grim model and after having much fun building I'm I don't have a clue how I'm going to paint him as he's quite a detailed guy and I want him to stand out a bit so I am reluctant to paint him in the same colours as the rest of my BA...

So my question is does anyone have a scheme I could possibly use for him?? So far the only thing I plan to do is paint the wings black and his hair White like in the art work...

Thanks in advance

Since no one else has said anything i'll offer a choice up:

You could paint him pastel pink/light blue. He'll stand out and your opponents will be too busy to insulting your sexuality to play the game properly!

Stupid, but yet very funny and very well phrased.

I guess thats the tactic behind playing emperors children then.

If you're painting your other BA bright red, then try painting him a darker shade like scab red. If your regular marines are dark red, then perhaps black?

Well I've decided to go for a really dark red. Mechrite red + chaos black. And work it up in layers... Think it will work with my scheme (on here, called my blood angels. Will update when I can). Does anyone have tips on how to paint the armour as it's a really tricky think, lots of lines on it! Could be a challenge so all help appreciated.
