amrogers3
I know there is probably a thread already covering this but I can't find it. What you guys using to get off the crappy gray undercoat mythicast sprayed on their models? Wispy
there's a thread on the bottom of the first page! it's even named mythicast! I'm not sure what question you're asking. Are you talking about the mold release? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208267-mythicast/#findComment-2484915 Share on other sites

Are you talking about the mold release? Pretty simple. Just trying to figure out how to get the undercoat off the Mythicast models. Mark Logue
Mine were made out of grey resin and did not have any undercoat applied. The models have a oil based mold release agent on them which can affect your painting. Clean off with warm soapy water and an old tooth brush. jmurph
I am also unfamiliar with an "undercoat". Mold release usually feels somewhat slick or greasy. It can be removed with warm water and soap or a little rubbing alcohol (it cuts the silicon agent). If your models were actually undercoated, I would try a bath of Simple Green followed by a toothbrush.
