10 Wolves! Woot! :)

"As a result the Caestus Assault Ram

has a transport capacity of ten models which must be either be

in power armour, artificer armour or terminator armour (models

in terminator armour only counting as one model rather than

two for transport as normally would be the case)."

3 Lone Wolves and 7 whatever else?

Dosnt say one squad.. *shrug*

You munchkin... seriously, because of that attitude other legions can put 12 marines in a drop pod...

Thankfully, only an idiot would let you do that eh?

Since the transport rules state only a single unit, plus ICs, can get into any single transport.

Some idiots don't want to play against you unless you let them since the codex says they can. So I don't play them... :P

correct me if i'm wrong

but i thought you can't disembark from a vehicle after it has done a flat out

You can't... That is unless it is destroyed by say ramming it into a landraider. At which point, you have to disembark and take a pinning test. If you pass, you should be free to do anything except assault, which is where all those combi weapons come into play. >:)

That is why the 10th character is a Wolf Priest ... auto pass ;)

This vehicle is so amazingly unbalanced, armr 13 and immune to melts, with freaking ap 1 str 8 lrg blast and assault ramps to boot, this is why i hate forge world rules...

Do you guys like the model, i'm not a huge fan, doesn't look very "marine" to me.

It's designed to keep the Wolves inside alive and making it to the target in one piece. Especially vital for Ship to ship boarding actions, where the enemy has more fire-power than a Multi-melta available!

These are just the experimental rules; they'll probably be toned down when they go final.

It looks very marine to me, though it's a specialist piece of equipment that should be breaching space hulks/other aircraft, rather then a land assault transport. I can imagine it dropping from high orbit, through blistering gunfire and slamming into a fortress, before unleashing the contents in a lightning quick assualt to overwhem the defenders. Space Marines are shocktroopers and it does not get any more shocking then a flying trash compactor full of very angry marines. Chances are I won't be arming it anyways, since far as I am concerned, it's main and only role is to get the package there.

The modle could look more impressive though, I would rather conbine the two marine compartments into one, large renforced compartment.

I only have one problem with it,

My problem is different from yours. Mine is that it is some made up thing using made up rules from a company that is not Games Workshop.

Fred, I know that you are new to the hobby, but Forgeworld is a subdivision within Games Workshop Group, PLC. Its products are intended to be compatible with, and to supplement, the core products.

See page 16 in the Investor's Guide

Forgeworld models and rules typically aren't allowed in tournament play, without TO permission ahead of time, and it is usually best to ask permission from (or at least warn) your opponent in friendly play, if you intend to run FW models and use their rules.

However, as I noted above, these are the experimental/playtest rules; they will be refined before they go to final release version.
