sisters help

I'm going to write a short story about the sisters soon and have run into a problem. The story is going to be about a lone Monestary during a peaceful time. This means that most of what I know about the sisters(how they fight) is pretty much useless. So I need some help to flesh out the sisters that I'll be writing about. I feel like I could ask a hundred questions like: Are they cliqish? What is mass like? What are some notable hollidays and how are they cellebrated? Do they watch movies? the list just goes on and on. So if anyone knows about the mundane things in a sisters life I'm all ears.

I wouldn't recommend reading Faith and Fire; it doesn't really add much fluff-wise, and it's a pretty awful book.

The short answer to most of the OP's questions is that it varies depending between different orders and convents. However, as a general rule Sisters of Battle spend their time outside of battle praying and training, and generally don't waste much time with concerns outside of that. Being a military organization probably defines most of their social groupings; individual squads pray together, train together, and likely spend most of what free time they get together.

Given the Ecclesiarchy's decentralized dogma, I would imagine that, aside from a few universals like the Adepta Sororitas battle hymn, prayers and notable holidays vary from convent to convent.
