Plastic/Metal Daemon Price hybrid

Recommended Posts

Ave Fraters!

First, let me apologize to the God Emperor and beg for his forgiveness for I have been momentarily been seized by the darkest of evils....Chaos...

I bought the New daemon prince model and a few things pissed me off.

1. The whole middle finger trend going on, GW what the hell, this just looks retarded on a daemon prince...give a marine tank commander a middle finger lol!

2. The backward pointing legs.....I like the over grown chaos marine legs, it makes them more daemon princey!

here are pics!

Ah, looks great. Holding a marine like you said :P

I like it, the legs make him look much more beefy than what I think I've seen. And it gives him a bit of marine bit to him, not just master of chaos. Great work Termie.

Now..as we all expect...paint!

Edit: Smackpie says to paint the marine like mine :)

Looks good. Nice kitbash of the 2 boxes with a very solid outcome. I like the pose and the holding the Marine thing gives a great sense of size.

As for paint I like the idea of Black Flesh, or at least very dark. World Eater would be cool looking with Night Lord being a close second in my book.

More pictures with his finished alternate back pieces, his alternate head and his special daemon prince brother Ymir.

Also, how does one paint a pale flesh tone like the DP on the box?

Both look nice.

Perhaps you can, I"m not sure...paint your daemon white, then give him an Asurman Blue wash, then give him a white wash, then another blue, and so on. I'm not good withskin at all, and I'm not sure of what you're referring to...

I need to know if the lines are too thick and if I am getting the highlights strong enough and should I lightly glaze it with 20:1 water/blood red??

More work done....

I cleaned up the pad but now I think I may have lost a bit of the effect, though it did look nurgly to me.

I think that the pad looks much better now, it looked "messy" to me before. It looks more like brands burned into the armor now.

Thanks Mikhail, glad you like it.

I am currently painting the sword to be a dark red with white edging, the only thing is now it looks a bit sloppy, I don't know how I can improve it without stripping the sword and starting it over.

(Pics later tonight)
