Brother_Sigurd
Hello fellow battle brothers, As you can see from the topic description I'm a new 5th edition player. I've been playing 40k on and off for about 7 years. I have always loved and collected the Blood Angels and have a basic 1000 pt army to play with friends and what not. Now I love the game very much but really have only played about 5-15 games ever (some of them were with different armies) but the 40k world is my favorite sci-fi world and I read countless novels and whatnot. So far I have. 1 Tactical Squad 1 Captain 1 Chaplain 1 Death Company 1 Assault Squad 1 Scout Sniper Squad 1 Baal Predator 1 Furioso Dreadnought I'm new to the forums obviously but I was just wondering what you Sternguard out there have in mind and if you can ease this neophyte along the true path. Thank you.
MrBlack
You have a strong foundation for an army, and in the end it's simply going to be what you want to play, whether it's mechanised or Jump Infantry based. The Blood Angels have a wide variety of choice and pretty much any play-style can be accommodated. Just for a quick 1000 pt list using the items you listed: 1x Reclusiarch --Infernus Pistol Death Company (x7) --2x Power Weapon --1x Infernus Pistol --1x Power Fist --Rhino Assault Squad (x10) --2x Meltagun --Power Fist Scout Squad (x5) --Sniper Rifles Ball Predator --Twin-Linked Assault Cannon Librarian Furioso Dreadnought --Wings of Sanguinius --Might of Heroes 1000/1000 If you have any other questions or whatnot feel free to contact me at AIM: thegrinningman66, msn: the_grinning_man@yahoo.com As I said, there are a lot of variations on what you can do and how to play, a better idea of what you wish to accomplish would be best. -Mr. Black
bloodancient
You have a fantastic starting point for the army i suggest you look into some heavy hitters. maybe a predator or dev squad you could even go with something like a speeder if cash is a problem it's got some big guns fairly cheap (points and cash). I suggest you accentuate the speed of the army which is one of the greatest assets.
