Black2Jack1
Hail Brothers, Its been a while since I have visited the forums, having soaked up as much as I could and then going crazy with a small fortune I had saved up. Last Night my friend and I had played a epic game, Dawn of War - Annihilation - He went first. It was looking pretty bad for the wolves at first but I managed to come up 6 - 7. What gave me the extra edge was when my long fangs were pulled out of cover by the Lash of submission and brought almost close enough to be assaulted by khorne bezerkers waiting near by. All 5 missiles brought the daemon prince to one wound, I had nothing left on the battlefield that could shoot as a Lone wolf was making his way towards the Beast. I finally realize the leader didn't shoot so we measure range and I roll. Daemon prince dies. My favorite part of the game. Now I had a few questions, when using tempests wrath "said units" within 24 inches treats ALL terrain as dangerous and difficult, and by all I mean the whole playing area, not just buildings and craters. Or did I misunderstand? Second question was, I apologize now if it seems like I am trying to create something too incredible. Was if I purchased 15 WG. I was under the impression they could all be split up in any way. So would it be possible to field 3 Assault Cannon Termies in the same squad? <--- I had too much ale when I put that unit together. Karack Blackstone
WG Elites choices are 3 to 10, I think, so unless you're attaching WG from one squad to another (Which you can't do, I would wager) then, No, you may not. Zero to two Heavy Weapons per WG Squad. (0-2 WG Hvy Wpns per pack.) I think Tempest's Wrath is basically a 24" pie plate of Difficult And Dangerous Terrain on that spot. So yes, it should be the whole thing. Nice kill of a Daemon Prince to a Bolt Pistol. That's both an insult to them and a joy to us. Simply shouldn't happen, but there we go, beautiful. Tsavong Lah
A Wolf Guard pack has a 10-man limit, so you wouldn't be able to have all three ACs in the same pack. SeanyPrawny
I had a similar idea with my WG by having 3 full units and having 6 assault cannons walking with logan then realised it doesn't work that way. Shame... Bolt pistol to the face is hilarious and the perfect reason why he is the leader <_< I always use tempest liket hat, no worth it otherwise as any terrain is dangerous to the units involved anyway. Bulweih
Well, if you have two WG packs, one with 10 and the other with 5 men, you can let two AC WG walk together as one pack and the other as a lone AC WG nearby. Everything else.....no way. The tempest works like you thought and others stated. Have an Ale for the Boltpistol shot, that's just what I love :teehee: . Glorious shot, nice :-D I suspect you're thinking of the 3rd edition codex where we had 0-20 Wolf Guards and you could get a heavy weapon for every 3 rounded up. I still miss putting 4 AssCannons in a Drop Pod :teehee: And as others have said, you can't do that anymore... Black2Jack1
Thank you brothers! I was having a debate with a buddy of mine whether or not the Terrain Pieces of all "Terrain on tabletop in inches" was affected. I almost didn't shoot the bolt pistol, as I asked my buddy. "Can a bolt pistol even hurt that thing?" *As I pointed to his towering new daemon that just came out*. Freman Bloodglaive
I had a Skyclaw (my last Skyclaw) knock the last wound off a Daemon Prince in one game with his bolt pistol. Because he kept coming back that prince died three times over the course of that game.
