Saphos
Hi, everybody. For our store here in Tübingen I have painted the stuff from the BlackBox yet again. I finally managed to finish them and here they are. The Deamonprince: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ I know, the painting sheme most people seem to use but I like it a lot so bear with me. ^^ White Basecoat from the can. For the skin Mechrite Red as a first layer. As this seemed a little to dark for my purposes I added 3 layers of drybrushing with Blood Red, Blazing Orange and Fiery Orange. The armour is Chaos Black with Codey Grey and Skull White as highlights. The gold is Burnished Gold with Mithril Silver highlights. The wings and the edge of the base is Kommando Khaki, the wings then drybrushed with Ghostly Grey. The top of the base was first Chaos Black, the Scorched Brown and Kommando Khaki drybrush. The gras is from Ziterdes. Then my usual Quickshade StrongTone bath and a layer of Vallejo Matte Varnish from the can. This is the first time I painting something in this colourcombination and I am quite satisfied (More used to Marines and the like). I don't think I'd do any thing different the second time I was to paint the mini like that. It is supposed to be nice tabletopquality anf that it is. The base is magnetised, to be able to switch between Fantasy and 40k. http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4824443772/ I also painted some Seekers of Slaanesh (Edit: I just realised that they do not really fit Spacemarines but I have already translated the description below so I here you go anyways. Take is as an example how to paint Slaaneshi Chaosmarnes. ^^): http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/cplhicks/4888...57624717170100/ Again white basecoat. Then Chaos Black for the scales of the mounts and Hormagaunt Purple for the hair, claws and some of the horns. The whole was drybrushed with Ghostly Grey. The metalparts and horns were painted in Boltgun Metal and then drybrushed/highlighted in Mithril Silver. The skin stayed basecoat white. The top of the base was first Chaos Black, the Scorched Brown and Kommando Khaki (edge Kommando Khaki) drybrush. The gras is from Ziterdes. Then my usual Quickshade StrongTone bath and a layer of Vallejo Matte Varnish from the can. The first time I painted this kind of miniature. I didn't take as much time as with the DP. I am relatively satisfied. I should have used a lighter tone as the Hormagaunt Purple, as there is too little contrast to the black. Well, one is learning all the time. I hope you liked the pictures. :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208506-yet-another-new-deamonprince/ Share on other sites
