recon0321
i have currently been working on two DIY chapters the knights of tartosa and currently unnamed chapter...i love both color schemes and was wondering could i game with both of them at the same time or would this become an issue? they are both using the SM codex its just that half my force would be differently painted then the other? does anyone see any problems with this or maybe intergrating the squads? i have included picutes of both my chapters...i was also thinking of them swapping iconography to show a sign of respect to each-other... http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/smsbeta...0&cs=000000 so you know this chapter is using BT bits i just put something on the shoulder pads to show the color http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/smsbeta...&blt=000000 here is my other chapter that yet to has a name... Shinzaren
Game wise, as long as they use the same Codex, they can be fielded as part of the same army. It can be used to symbolize two armies working alongside each other against a common foe. SonofTerra
Agreed, not a problem at all as long as it follows the FOC and uses the same codex. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208607-dual-diy-chapter/#findComment-2489211 Share on other sites
Shadey
I don't see them swaping heraldry/insignia lightly. For example the Death Watch leave a shoulder pad in the original colour of thier parent chapter. To swap heraldry would be an affront to the marine, to his chapter and to the armour's spirit. Though it is of course your army an admitedly small background nitpick. Having two different marine armies working together however is perfectly fine as long as you use the same codex and foc, as stated.
