Morollan
What are you guys doing for Razorback models if you want to arm them with assault cannon or heavy flamers? The GW website says the Razorback box contains heavy bolter and lascannon options and I think Forgeword do missile launchers and multi-meltas but I can't see any modelling options for the other payloads. Are we forced to convert from something else? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208637-razorback-weapon-options/ Share on other sites
Redo
Some convert...there are some options that have no Forgeworld or GW parts so conversion is the only answer. I like to run with a Assault cannon Razorback and I have just bouht and additional Landradier sprue. The spare doors and weapons give me the options to arm the Raider with either Hurrican Bolter or Flamestorm cannons and the extra Assault cannon turrent fits into the Razorback turrnet. Perfect! Brother-Captain Devlonir
With two landspeeders you can also convert 1 TL Assault Cannon. But that is costly if you don't plan to use the Land Speeders.. SamaNagol
There's several threads which include conversions of Razorbacks with Assault Cannon. Â The most cost effective way is to order the Ravenwing landspeeder sprue from GW direct and use the Heavy Bolter parts from the Razorback. Cut off the HvyBolter barrels so the end is flat, then using a sharp knife cut the long assault cannon barrels off the Ravenwing parts and pin them onto the end of the Heavy Bolters you have just flattened off. Â It looks very good when done carefully. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208637-razorback-weapon-options/#findComment-2489585 Share on other sites
Brother Kovash
Assault cannons are great, but an extra lascannon or two never hurt if you can afford the points. lunchb0x
Just get the bits for the landraider crusader/redeemer and use the assault cannon piece from there. Most only joints sell them for about 10-12 bucks. thundrchickn
for tourneys I run all las/TLplas to destroy tanks, MCs, and marines. My Baal preds run assault cannons to get the huge volleys out there. I used the Lascannon from the razorback sprue and a plasma sponson gun from the IG leman russ tank to build it. Morticon
The Ravenwing box comes with 6 assault cannons - enough for 3 razorback turrets. If you're looking to pick up some bikes and everything else that goes with it its golden! Red Fury
you might be able to search and find an old topic with this question and several photos of TLHFlamer conversions. Here is the one I made from the pewter flamers from the old Baal kit. The new plastic versions look even better.  http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/ll275/RedFury77/40k/100_0858-1.jpg  Just the flamers, plasticard, and some greenstuff. It's all painted up now and looks pretty sweet, I think anyway. Whitefireinferno
Hmm The Harrower That is the EXACT same method I did mine AGES ago did you see it?  But yeah here are me TL Heavy Flamers http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af31/Litany_of_hate/001-3.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af31/Litany_of_hate/003-4.jpg These still need either tubes or external fuel tanks these are just a couple of old hull Heavy flamers from some IG tanks  And Asscans http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af31/Litany_of_hate/Flesh%20Tearers/one1.jpg http://i991.photobucket.com/albums/af31/Litany_of_hate/Flesh%20Tearers/six6.jpg The only real difference that I did was I made sure the ejection port lined up with the bottom barrell  Both were made from theheavy bolters Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208637-razorback-weapon-options/#findComment-2489933 Share on other sites
TheHarrower
Hmm The Harrower That is the EXACT same method I did mine AGES ago did you see it? Â I did see yours after I did my blog posts when I was searching on Google for twin-linked heavy flamer examples. We both did it right around the same time if memory serves. I believe your posts were right when I did my second blog post. Great minds think alike! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208637-razorback-weapon-options/#findComment-2489971 Share on other sites
Scion of Sanguinius
I just bits order the tornado assault cannon blister for 8 bucks. then clip off the heavy bolter barrels since i never use heavy bolters, then clip the assault cannon barrel from the assault cannon and put it on the heavy bolter body. Ta-Da, TL assault cannon. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/208637-razorback-weapon-options/#findComment-2490087 Share on other sites
Wildfire
Assualt cannons are the easiest think to make. All you need is 7 small nails. Cut 6 to the same length, and one slightly longer. Glue the small ones around the long one, with one end flush. Now you have an assualt cannon!
