Razorback Weapon Options

What are you guys doing for Razorback models if you want to arm them with assault cannon or heavy flamers? The GW website says the Razorback box contains heavy bolter and lascannon options and I think Forgeword do missile launchers and multi-meltas but I can't see any modelling options for the other payloads. Are we forced to convert from something else?

Some convert...there are some options that have no Forgeworld or GW parts so conversion is the only answer. I like to run with a Assault cannon Razorback and I have just bouht and additional Landradier sprue. The spare doors and weapons give me the options to arm the Raider with either Hurrican Bolter or Flamestorm cannons and the extra Assault cannon turrent fits into the Razorback turrnet. Perfect!

There's several threads which include conversions of Razorbacks with Assault Cannon.

The most cost effective way is to order the Ravenwing landspeeder sprue from GW direct and use the Heavy Bolter parts from the Razorback. Cut off the HvyBolter barrels so the end is flat, then using a sharp knife cut the long assault cannon barrels off the Ravenwing parts and pin them onto the end of the Heavy Bolters you have just flattened off.

It looks very good when done carefully.

I have a 3 part how to article on this very thing on my blog: http://dedard.blogspot.com/2010/03/new-blo...lt-cannons.html

Here's a pic of the finished result.

For a twin-linked heavy flamer, I'm thinking of using the heavy flamer sponsons from the Baal.

you might be able to search and find an old topic with this question and several photos of TLHFlamer conversions.

Here is the one I made from the pewter flamers from the old Baal kit. The new plastic versions look even better.

Just the flamers, plasticard, and some greenstuff. It's all painted up now and looks pretty sweet, I think anyway.

These still need either tubes or external fuel tanks these are just a couple of old hull Heavy flamers from some IG tanks

And Asscans

The only real difference that I did was I made sure the ejection port lined up with the bottom barrell

Both were made from theheavy bolters

I did see yours after I did my blog posts when I was searching on Google for twin-linked heavy flamer examples. We both did it right around the same time if memory serves. I believe your posts were right when I did my second blog post. Great minds think alike!

Assualt cannons are the easiest think to make. All you need is 7 small nails. Cut 6 to the same length, and one slightly longer. Glue the small ones around the long one, with one end flush. Now you have an assualt cannon!
