Gillyfish Posted August 16, 2010 Share Posted August 16, 2010 Being on a bike grants a bonus to a model's base toughness (to represent all that metal between the bullet and the rider). The figure in brackets is the value used in the game against shooting and close combat, but the figure outside the brackets is used for figuring out instant death. Does that help? For a summary of the bikes (and jectbikes) bracketed Toughness stat check the exlplanation on p53 of the Rulebook under "Additional Protection" heading.
