I thought I may as-well get back into the habit of posting my projects on here again, it keeps me motivated to paint more when comments and crits challenge you to do better.

Here's something I have been working on the last few days between work, I don't collect blood angels, I don't intend to, but I love these models so much I had to have them. They are definitely fun to paint. I had a little miss-hap with a varnish can unfortunately, its so hot here at the moment. But anyway comments and crits always welcome.

Next up on my list I finaly got around to finishing my Iron Hawk chaplain. The idea behind this guy is that he is pumped full powerful drugs (which would kill a normal man) of a chemically induced rage, hes kinda inspired by bane from batman.

thumbs up mate, i love the paint job on the blood angel (especially the blade), but i would have drilled out the bolter muzzle.

as for the chaplain, i immediatly thought "BANE" when seeing him ^_^

Okay so heres the thing, ive got dornian fever! (i love you B&C) More specifically I flacking love the Ultramarines in it, its made the smurfs cool again. As a result I thought id jump on the mk 16 armour bandwagon.

I love the idea that there ultras (and founding chapters) have "evolved" seperatly to the rest of humanity and quite frankly Im actualy really impressed by the richer universe they have created here at bols for fun!

Im a little sad to see some of the legions on the wrong side, others (thousand sons, alpha legion) have become soo much cooler. I only really paint and model for fun, very few games come my way... no one to play with in my area, so this presents some unique modelling opportunity's.

Its crude right now but it will hopefully provide a stable platform for greenstuff to smooth over the armour and add the details.

Now that's a nice Damocles PA! Your sculpting is pretty good and it sticks to the original design pretty well. Can I ask how you made the legs? I'm pretty sure you must have cut/filed them, but they look so smooth it's almost as if they had been cast like that.

Anyhow, great work, keep going!

Not alot of work to make the legs look like that, I used the assault marines legs, though im sure that dosnt matter. And takeing my life in my hands carefully hacked off the front and sides his left leg I did manage to take a few nicks out where I didnt want them but GS sorted that out. I did notice after, `that the angles are slightly wrong but not enough for me to cry over it. Its surprising how little you need to modify the legs actually.

Comments and Tips would be useful.

That is really cool, do you have more pics of the model? As I have already remarked in another thread I intend to make a true scale Mk16 so I'm very keen to see what you have done and how you achieve the look.
