Hi guys need help ;)

first i used hormagaunt sickles but in comparsion to the SW terminator wolfclaws they had the same length and looked to tiny......ok no problem .... lets amputate the sickles from a tyranid warrior ;) .... and i don't know somehow it looks oversized but compared to the terminator wolfclaw it has the same dimensions....yeah but see for yourself :)

ok fine ;) thx

size looks good but next question

should i cut the last finger an attach a smaller claw...or one with the same size? im not sure how it will look? any opinions :)

@dyre

yeah i know little bit messy ;) and the pose isn't the final one....i will attach it to the FW dread later when i'm happy with the design

Looks good! Is that middle claw longer then the others? Its hard to tell in that picture if its just the angel of the pic or not.

I personally might be inclined to cut off a bit of the claw. While they look good, they kinda look unusable. If you cut then down about 25-33% i think they would be spot on for some good fitting action. But this is a scifi world so Bigger works always!

When you change out that thumb for a claw it might tie it togeather more. YEs yes i know there is no such thing as to big.. but.. having my wolves with 10' long legs would be 'to big' or having heads that are so huge they cant pick them up off the ground would be 'to big'. Its mostly what looks like its resonable possable to work, without simply breaking off.

When the last claw is added on they might not look so big, but atm it just looks like you would lose alot of crushing power with looooong skinny claws, compared to cutting them a little shorter, getting just as much cut, but alot more PSI before breaking!

Yes yes im likly putting to much thought into it.

maybe its just me but the finger placement looks a little gay in the flamboyant way.... no offense ment but it looks more like a come hither hand gesture my girlfriend would use to lure me into the bed room then a get over here gesture used in a fight.

thx for the laurels :P

i try to finish the design when i'm home again

@xeenos and tsavong lah

it is not the final pose....neither is it the final model, they are only provisonally attached to this arm and this dreadnought....i needed something for size comparsion

when i'm happy with the design i will try to modify a Forgeworld arm that it looks like he is swinging the arm for the enemy

same with the finger pose :cuss i think i will straighten them out so that it looks more like he is ready to trust his claws into the enemy.....but as it is now it looks nice :rolleyes:

@bloodhowl

first i have to get my hands on some more tyranid warrior claws :cuss then i will try a shorter variant also.....feedback for the long claws is better then i hoped so for the moment i'm satisfied with them

Must better.. forgive my nit picking.. but make the Thumb about half that size, i think. I guess it depends if the Forge World fist has a thumb. Just gota keep your perportions is all buddy. I know big is fun, and you welcome to your own thing! Im just givin my input couse.. you put it on a public fourm and ive nothing better to do at 2 am?

:lol:

Forgeworld Venerable with Wolf Claw....C&C is welcome
