Help me to name my space marine chapter please !

I have been paiting marines for quite some time and have decided to create my own chapter.

My marines are generally blue with green trim.

I have decided before I go anywhere else, to get a name for my chapter.

I was thinking something with; Storm, Corsairs or Ravens, in it(I have just taken a liking to them words)

Just not sure how 'Storm Ravens or Storm Corsairs' would roll.

What is it with Liber these days? This is like the third or fourth 'HELP NAME MY CHAPTER' thread in as many days. The board does has a Chapter Name Generator you know. Just ignore the sillier combinations, and you SHOULD be good.

And if you are gonna ask for help naming a chapter based on colors, it would help you to use the Space Marine Painter, so people know what the idea in your head looks like.

I know you want a name before moving forward, but do you have any ideas about what your Chapter is like? I think a Chapter name flows more naturally after you have established a few concrete ideas. So, we have your colors of blue with green trim. Think about these questions, and they will help narrow down an appropriate name:

 

1. Founding Chapter: Which Chapter is their geneseed drawn from? This can matter alot, or a little. For instance, a Blood Angels successor may use the themes of blood/angels/red/Sanguinius/etc. in its name. Or it might not. For example, because there are so many Ultramarines successors, many have names and themes that have nothing to do with the Ultramarines or Roboute Guilliman.

 

2. Codex: Which Codex will you use when you play your marines? Some Codex playstyles lean towards certain themes.

 

3. Specialty: Do you want your Chapter to be particularly good at certain kinds of warfare? Siege masters, covert ops, hostile environments, actions versus certain opponents, these are all viable and leaning towards a specialization can help in name selection.

 

4. Culture: Do you want to lean towards a particular culture or historical group with your background? This can have great bearing on your name.

Thanks mate, great bit of help here. I willl end up calling them Storm Ravens I think, and concerning your points;

 

1/. Founding chapter will probably Dark Angels only for the fact that I am going to paint them the same exept blue ( The dark base with the highlighted edges).

I was thinking having an Ultramarines successor but there are so many so why add to it?

 

2/. Haven't really thought this one through yet, I'm only new to the playstyles and haven't tried any out yet.

 

3/. I'll probably stick with annihilation, kill everything i can. Also probably be Tau or Tyranid Fighters.

 

4/. Haven't decided this one either. Could go for some help on it.

There is a Space Marine transport called the Storm Raven. Storm Ravens as a name, while sounding great, might not be fitting.

there is a Chapter called the Raptor (2nd founding Raven Guard) and it is a troop type for chaos marines (assault).
