When Codex Rumourmongering™ was going bat guano loco there were some fairly consistent rumours about us getting a Land Raider that was bristling with Assault Cannons.

I would love to see that, and wheter you like AssCannons or not, I'm sure it would look great, so I'm hoping for that...

Ooh, a unique Raider would be really cool! ;)

Is that like a rhino chassis pulled by thunderwolves? Or a supercharged Rhino with a jet engine and handholds?

I now have this awesome idea of some of an open-topped Rhino with turbo-boosters, something akin to an ork trukk, but less orky more wolfy

I still find it hard to believe that GW themselves (as opposed to FW) won't do a set of Thunderwolves... something like the Juggernaught 3 pack... Just can't see them passing up on the massive sales that would garner them...

If they do it through FW the sales will be a fraction of what a plastic set would shift

Bloodcrushers are really a dual game unit. They will sell to the guys who only play fantasy and the guys who only play 40k. TWC won't do that. Also although I am not sure how often they are used C:CSM characters can mount on juggs too. So there are more opportunities for the bloodcrusher models to sell.

I do think they will do a generic wolf lord on a TWM. They did an Ork warboss on a bike, and tGW already had an ork character on a bike, so Canis shouldn't preclude a Thunderlord.

Fen wolves would be great, but GW sells those goblin wolves without riders, so I dont know about them.. hopefully cyberwolves.

I'd be interested in seeing statistics on that... wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were actually relatively even...

Fantasy is a tiny market compared to 40k, and Daemons are very much a niche army outside of fantasy... Also I'd imagine a lot of those who play one also play the same army in the other game - and obviously won't buy twice

Maybe a specialized Leman Russ Exterminator turret?

That would be fantastic. Bring back what made the Wolves more individual I say!

Who says we can't use the Tank named in honour of Leman Russ.. Well, I guess the Game Designers said so, but we will have to see. :(

I think your wrong here... Fantasy is rather large in alot of areas. It seems mostly places heavily favor one over the other, but overall I doubt theres a huge difference in their sales.

There is a huge difference.

For example, the UK is one of the more popular parts of the world for Fantasy, but even here, space marines alone sell more than the entire fantasy line put together

Where are you getting your numbers?

Around here 40k sales heavily and Fantasy players are common, but already have most of what they need- on the other end of the state in billing Fantasy is rather popular, its just not as frequently a tournament game.

And then there's that little bit about Marines accounting for three quarters of the 40k range <_<

I always wished there was some kind of light armored transport that you could load up a full pack of bloodclaws in.

Like a Rhino with an armored trailer :)

Hah. Well the UK army does have something like that called the Viking APC, how fitting.

But seriously that has always bothered me. I dont always want to splurge on a LRC in order to field a large BC pack. Something tells me a Wolf Lord at some point figured out an inexpensive way to get his BCs into combat quickly. I know, how about install a hand rail on a rhino and make 5 of them ride on top! <_<

Your thinking is right but the rail is in the wrong place! What we need is for a BC (probably Lukas) to take a blow torch to a Rhino and cut off the top half to make a cabriolet for when they go cruising for braided blondes. After that it would be easy to fit a running board down the side of it and voila, you have a 15 man Rhino you can assault out of. Not as safe but of so much cooler. :jaw:

it's anecdotal evidence, granted, but it's from conversations with a couple of different GW store managers, along with several independent store owners... all of whom have said pretty much the same thing...

A rhino that could fit 15 bc in it would be awesome :) but a drop pod that could would be even better :) . At the local club i go to has 20-30 members its not just a warhammer club its all specialist games like dnd, magic ect' but majority play warhammer id say 55% and of that 55% 30% play fantasy there are only a couple 40k'ers :)

Just my 2 cents.

And look it comes with smoke lauchers!

Two rhinos weilded together to make a Rhinolimo! Complete with assualt hatch and bar with a limited supply of ale!

Keep them trapped in there a few hours, they will be ready to rip open the first Xero or heritic they see when the door slams open!

Though I could see it only holding 12 people, they need a lot of room for rum afterall... XD

That, or a transport with assualt hatch holding Thunder Wolf would be awesome. Though I would rather not see that. XD

It also has rubber tracks, and gets blow up by IEDs (a lot)
