bulley
Figured I'd start a new thread now I've officially started on the models. I am never one to do 1 model at a time, so have a couple of projects on the go. My BA's are a successor chapter; so here's the colour scheme I'll be rocking on some test marines (when on my ASM will be much cleaner): http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0101.jpg The my chaplin. Trying to keep him very identifyable as a blood angel: http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0106.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0107.jpg Finally my Astorath, back pack and shoulder done only, going to try and finish him, or at least the majority today. http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0102.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0103.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0105.jpg Once I've done these I was originally going to do my SG but I am actually going to do my regular assualt squad first I think and just get some feasible units to put on a table even for a 500 or 750 jaunt. bulley
Well finished Astorath now - despite him not going to make more than a guest apperance in my final army list, I am glad I got him done as he's given me a chance to remember some of my old techniques. Additionally I've moved away from the marine colour scheme above. As much as I liked it, it was a PAIN to pain well, if I went for speed it looked horrific, even at half face pace it looked very messy, so its going to be kept for something like a "1st company" or veterens for me. My new colour scheme is going to fit in with my fluff a bit more - which is a successor chapter to the Flesh Tearers, but a bit darker armor - no black shoulders (maybe actually a dark bone shoulder section). More on that later. The Astorath Pictures: http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0108.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0109.jpg http://i738.photobucket.com/albums/xx25/bulley23/IMG_0110.jpg I've picked up some of the last bits I need for my army, I am now just short the Vanguard Vets and the 2nd RAS. However I can't decide what I want to make the VV with, I dont really want to do Sang Guard, I might try and give them a sort of vetern feel to them some how, or just go Death Company bits heavy on them. Idea's welcome on this front. This week I am going to do the Dante kit bash and Libby kit bash to go with my x2 SP's, once I get them all made up I'll photo and post up.
