Emperors Immortals
I fought my friends Tau force that i was asking advice on in another thread, and i SLAUGHTERED him twice!!! Basically my force consisted of a RAS a Furioso with talons (die crisis suits DIE lol) and a tac squad in a RB, which i used to ram into a fire warrior squad after they shot off its HB and 5 DC. Anyway - by far the best unit of the match was my DC - 5 rock hard cold blooded psychos who single handedly tied up 32 Fire warriors and 16 Kroot and slaughtered them after surviving 78 (SEVENTY EIGHT) pulse thingy shots.ZOMG!!!. So, post your DC survival stories here, include Lemarted, Psycho Tycho etc if you want but i wanna hear more stories of these remarkable blood drenched superstars ;p
IronKobra
In my 2nd game in well over 10 years I took a 10 man DC with JP in an apocalypse game...And they COMPLETELY brought Gazkhulls Waaaagh to a standstill! While they all fell in the end to his many, many, many boys (I think 30) the squad of 10 brought them down to 6/7...Would have been more if I remembered the FNP saves! vharing
I had 10 DC go through 3 squads of chaos marines. the first 2 squads went down turns 2 and 3. the last squad was plague marines. stopped me almost dead but in the end 3 DC survived and went on to murder his sorcerer in one turn
lorider2
I have like 30 DC and love them, but man do I miss rending and being able to control them with a chappy. They have lots of spiffy weapons now, but its just not the same so sadly they often get dropped from my lists. Probably the biggest loss from the pdf days. Ranwulf
Reclusiarch. Death Company Marine with Power Sword. Death Company Marine with Chainsword. Vs 10 Tactical Marines. They won and lost no one. Actually, they killed an entire Boy Squad that Charged them(they were full squad at the moment), Nob Bikers(stuck in cc against a Tervigon) and an Rhino with Infernus pistol. Awesome. TrentL
So last game I played 1500 against my Wife's orks. 5 DC + Lemartes, were hiding in ruins surrounded by Vindicators who were trying to pummel her Battle wagons to get at the squishy power klaw nobs inside. Sadly on Turn two some Killa Kans move up, and Lemartes in his infinite wisdom seeing the Killa Kans says "Enough with this shooty CRAP I WANT ME SOME WWAAAAGGGHH!!" and left the cover and moved towards the killa Kans... sadly for my wife, her Ork Choppy boyz were within charge distance, so rather than charge the Killa Kans Lemartes + 5 DC (Power fist and power sword + 3 regular joes) Charge 24 boyz, + 1 power klaw nob. Between re-rolling on the charge, I hit with everying, and wounded on everything (I love 3+ re-rolls) I left her with 1 nob and and 4 boyz I think, she lost combat by over 20 (I lost nobody) sadly I really wanted the pack to stick around but they fled(And died to sweeping advance), the DC then got charged by Warboss, 9 nobs, 5 with Power Klaws, Luckily Lemartes lived!!! And he was Hulked up!!! Sadly the KillaKans who also moved in finished off Lemartes... Had I been more agressive with my RAS's with Priests + Reclusiarch in 1 of them to give more things to shoot at, and possiblely force those Killa Cans to go somewhere else rather than on DC it would have been more intersting! I <3 my DC, I love Lemartes... I just wish I could take his bloody backpack off.
Lord_Reven
1 DC marine with a power sword VS 1 captain and 3 bikers, 1 with a fist. My DC marine killed all 3 bikers, ending the battle in a draw instead of a loss for me :)

GlauG
5 DC once took down Lysander and a squad of Terminators before they could hit back on one of their first outings. Without any weapons upgrades, just FC, BP and Chainswords, and a charge. My DC have done a lot of awesome crap since, but that really takes it for me. EDIT: Though Lemartes alone nearly taking down a Thunderwolf Lord and 2 TW Cav Wolf Guard all by himself is probably a close second!
Dark Legionnare
My favorite DC outing was against my friend's Space Wolves. I kit them out as a squad of 6, two with power swords, usually my Reclusiarch to lead them. Well, in this game they popped out of my crusader and slammed into 2 Grey Hunter squads, yay multiple combats. The re-rolls granted by the Reclusiarch coupled with an all around I5 proceeded to net me 12 power weapon wounds and 14 normal wounds. Melted through both squads in one assault, it was delicious. They consolidated and then took a casualty from Long Fang missiles. Reclusiarch broke off to go slaughter the Long Fangs, DC continued onwards toward the other nearest Grey Hunter squad, melted them in one assault also. It's so cool to have a unit so powerful, yet so affordable in a 1500 point game. Also, a mere 30 points of power weapons really turns 6 DC into a far more powerful killing machine. Brother-Captain Devlonir
My last game with my DC, which is shamefully more than a month ago already.. (been rebuilding my army and been focusing on that over playing.. It's a lot of fun to replace all these old 90s models :-P) And that game they killed: NOTHING! But they were still more than their point's worth. Played 1k vs Dark Angels. I had my 9 man DC + Reclusiarch in a Rhino, a 10 man Tactical squad on a home objective with good LoS and a 10 man RAS jumping around with Sang priest. The first 3 turns, all of the enemy's fire (which were also a lot of plasma cannons) were so focused on my DC charging in and trying to kill it before they reached them, that the shots from my Tacticals as well as my RAS charging up the flank turn 3 totally ruined his game plan to defend his own objective (played a 2 objectives holding game). His turn 4 he finally shot the Reclusiarch dead which was in charge range finally (he first stunned, then imobilized the Rhino.. so the DC had to run a bit). But by then his own objective was being cut to pieces by my RAS while his own Rhino's and Dread bit the dust because of the ML in the Tactical Squad.. No more armor to hide in + RAS in your lines with FC and FNP = lots of pain! Still feel the DC taking so much fire won me that game..
daboarder
DC are the Bomb! Did you see what I did there? DC are great I'll be adding 4 and a chaplain with JP's into my list to take it up to 1750.
Joasht
I haven't played the 5th edition BA codex yet, but looking at it, I find it difficult to understand why there were so many people lamenting over how the Death Company "suck" (at least, that was the reaction I noticed). Yes, the jump packs are SEVERELY overcosted, but if you look at the naked DC marine, it is a pretty cost-effective guy; 2 attacks, Furious Charge, FnP, with the option of either getting +1A (BP+CCW) or bolter'ing people to death while still being able to charge, and if given a chaplain, they become the most dependable squad you have in melee (of course, assuming you get them there). And them not being able to capture table quarters isn't that big a deal; I just see them as Elites that conveniently take up one Troop slot instead - never a problem unless you want six troop choices. Probably their biggest issue is Rage, but I think its fair given their points.

Jump packs are "omg" overpriced, so I don't use them, plus you can't put them in a rhino. I field them every chance I get, unless it's 750 points or less where the Reclusiarch and DC take up a good chunk of points for only 7 guys. I almost always play 1500 or more so throwing them in a LRC has become a staple of my army. Nothing survives if they get the assault, re-rolls turn just 2 power swords into almost instant squad sweepers. And rage isn't that bad, it has only messed me up once when a closer rhino made me miss assaulting Tzeentch marines by an inch.
Serath
Greetings Brother I agree whole heartedly that dc are overpriced with a jump pack, to put it in perspective it's 35 points which is 5 points less than a sanguery guard so I'd rather have the golden nipple jockeys for those points. But I did playtest Astoroth lemartes and 3 dc with jp as a kind of joke in a 2k game......they killed 3fully kitted out termie sqads and took 2dc casualties through shooting deaths, so they can be viable in the right sort of list in theory. I play 10 dc and a HQ Chaplin in a LRC with 2pw pf 2ip, this unit hasn't been killed yet, because on the charge it wipes whatever it hits and then has enough bodies to survive slugging it around a bit after their next victim, or my favorite trick is putting my LRC infront of them before I have to move my dc, they then can't see anything so they don't rage towards it  then I just put them in the LR and charge after the next thing that needs killing. The only reason I have to take such a large dc squad is that my club uses plasma cannons so much it makes things like priests in my lists almost pointless, but that just means more dreads, oh what's this you diddnt pack anything in your heavy teams other than plasma....yay for me ;)
GlauG
I can't help but feel this is worth a mention; Today, Lemartes and 4 DC (without a Power Fist, since I grabbed the wrong mini before play!) took down Angron in 2 rounds of CC, with Lemartes surviving unharmed.
