Bonsai Monkey
Hello, I have recently had a birthday and the missus got me the micro art wolves (goes to show that 3 weeks of hinting and leaving the pages up on the lap top works), and I was just wondering how others have turned them into mounts? These are the first resin models i have, do you have to do anything special with them? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Bonsai Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209294-micro-art-wolves/ Share on other sites
S. Bloodhowl
Wash them in soapy water and scrub them with an old toothbrush. Use super glue to build them. Other than that I cant think of anything else. Hope that helps, Fowlie Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209294-micro-art-wolves/#findComment-2497060 Share on other sites

Taeken
If any of the release agent still won't come off, use rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush. Someone here at BnC suggested that to me and it worked like a charm. Bonsai Monkey
Will do, but I fear they will neither be quick or up to the usual standards around here. I have scrubed them, but cannot see any great difference in colour or feel. Does this mean they are clean and ready for priming or still covered in goop? (silly question I know as you cant see them but more or a general question) Also does anyone have a link to the pre-micro art wolf sculpt that was on cool mini or not, I am in need of inspiration and hints regarding saddles etc. Cheers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209294-micro-art-wolves/#findComment-2499553 Share on other sites
S. Bloodhowl
There usually isn't a change in colour, but they should feel a bit less slimy. I usually scrub resin models in the hot soapy water 2 or 3 times, letting them dry out in between times Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209294-micro-art-wolves/#findComment-2499565 Share on other sites
