Judaz
I agree that my idea of changing armor and the whole knock 'em unconsious part is a bit far fetched. But the ornament part is still valid. Imagine a group of raging berzerkers standing perfectly still and getting their armor repainted by some very nervous servants. If they are able to stand still and understand why they should, you could also trick them into changing armor. Using black armor is actually a very bad idea if the think they are Sanguinius out for Horus. They start running towards the enemy and then they suddenly notice that the guy running next to them wears a black armor, just like Horus... ;) Makes Khârn look like a nice guy. The easiest way to make 'em black fluffwise is to give them a black robe and leave the armor the way it is. Or just throw black paint at them, that would also be an interesting way to paint my DC... But my marines will still remove their finest armor and get into some piece of junk, "the Sanguinius plate, made just for you my lord. The holes? Erh, they are for your wings mylord, you have not forgotten about your wings have you mylord? Now go get Horus, off you go! By the blood of Sang..erh...long live the Emperor! ". Leonaides
Who says that htey're totally frothing mad when they have their armour repainted. There is plenty of evidence suggesting that the chaplains are able to pick them out early in the madness, and prepare them for battle in the appropriate manner. Judaz
And then I really don't see a problem with me having them change into another set of power armor. I know it's not the way of the codex, but it's the way my guys does it. Preserving the art they have made, not getting it destroyed in a suicide attack.
