wolf363839
Just finished these two guys. They will make decent stand-ins until I convert some better looking thunderwolves. The bases are all magnetized so I can remove the wolves and marines to use them elsewhere if needed. Arms are magnetized too, so I can swap weapons. http://i955.photobucket.com/albums/ae39/phil363839/Space%20Wolf%20Army/DSCF2412.jpg?t=1282874011 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209402-non-standard-thunderwolf-option/ Share on other sites
rodgambit
Nice work. I have something similar because I play 13th Co. I have an old wulfen model running next to a wolf. When I finish painting them I'll post some pics. Natanael
I've also got something similar - two GS-ed dire wolves and a lone guy on a large base, like u got. - Natanael Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209402-non-standard-thunderwolf-option/#findComment-2498251 Share on other sites
Stormbrow II
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u134/StormbrowII/DSC01786.jpg There's my Hammer Lord that likes to smash things. Big things, but not too big preferably. He can batter Trygons and Dreads all day but he can't seem to hurt small squads of Marines or Land Raiders... :tu: Feel free to drop by my blog for a look at some more Wolf stuff, including seeing the fella above in action. narf
I keep being tempted to use iron priest models with the servo harness on 60mm bases as my thunderwolves, as i cant use the harness any other way now, and have two of them already. Jaarl Stormfang
They look great, and I love the colour scheme. Looks just like the front of the book. What colours do you use exactly? Is it adeptus battlegrey, burnished gold and scab red? Red gore maybe? Wolfeslad
Completely agree with both style and colour scheme brother. might have to get some 60mm bases and some more magnets :tu: This is why i love the colour scheme wolf363839 hahaha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209402-non-standard-thunderwolf-option/#findComment-2499139 Share on other sites
wolf363839
thanks for the support guys. as for the color scheme, it is actually Krylon Grey Primer found at your local store for $3/can. it matches adeptus battlegrey just about perfectly. after I prime the models with the krylon, I wash the whole thing with badab black and then drybrush/overbrush Adeptus Battlegrey. the red is Mechrite Red. those GW Foundation paints are awesome.
