I've got a unit of death company but ive never used them. the unit has 10 dc that have 3 power weapons and a power fist with a reclusiarch and a libby that are mounted in a land raider crusader/redeemer. so what should i do with them? just first turn move flat out and pop smoke then next turn charge into the biggest unit the enemy has? and what powers should i take for my libby?

Personaly I'd stick the libby in another squad, 10 DC with a reclusiarch (or even a bog standard chaplian for that matter) is not going to struggle for killyness on the charge against almost anything especially with 3 PW and a fist.

If you are determined to take a libby however, shield and sword of sanguinius wont go far wrong, gives you a few S10 attacks at I4/5 (which will make the DC kill pretty much anything on a charge) with the option of a 5+invul for the squad in the following round if you find yourself in the open (quite likeley given whatsoever poor sods you charged are likeley dead or broken after the 1st round). Failing that blood lance might add a bit of post-charge anti-vehicular flexibility (rage means it will often pay for your death co. to be able to handle anything they come across especialy vehicles) but will be a bit redundant untill you have made the initial charge.

As far as the unit as a whole goes, I'd barrel forwards on turn 1 poping smoke etc. and try to make use of the fact that the enemy will go out of their way to stop that Raider with everything they have i.e. barrel forwards with some squads in rhino's/razors, vindicators, baals etc. at the same time. Vindicators in particular do wonders for splitting fire priority away from scary units like DC in a Landraider. The main thing is making shure the Landraider isent a easy choice as target to begin with, make them have to think really hard about wether they want to pump most or all of their anti-armour into a av14 vehicle or allow one of the killyest units in the game to get a charge off on turn 2/3. Target wize, in theory you want to go after the enemys nasyest unit but becuase of the rage rule you also want to try and a have a few viable secondary targets nearby as Death co. will just go running towards the nearest enemy when they are finished with the first.

Your main issue like any Landraider mounted superunit based army is you may find yourself "swingging in the breeze" if the enemy gets a lucky shot off on the Raider early on. (I utterly mauled a chaos army not so long since with my nids just because I fluked a vehicle destroyed on turn 1, leaving his big nasy unit of zerkers at my whim.)

Edit: P.S. Multiple assault FTW :D

Do you have a drop pod in your army? If so I would drop pod assault in a pod with a locator beacon. Then I would drop in the land raider when it came out of reserves. Its a redeemer with flamestorm cannons so that kind of accuracy is really going to be awesome.
