Blood angels hand weapons and scaling

So after looking at some blood angels I was struck with an idea: The hand flamers and Infernus pistols are potentially, like plasma pistols, ideal for conversion into easy underslung combi weapons(say, replacing the bolter foregrip). What I'm wondering is how is the scaling, would someone with some blood angels be willing to post a picture of an infernus pistol and hand flamer next to a bolter to check the size?

 

I know it's possible to cut down the actual special weapon, but it seems like this would be a relatively easy way to craft great looking combi weapons with minimal effort by comparison.

 

Has anyone tried this, and if so, how did it work out... Pictures?
