I started a new army, but this time it will be not larger then 2500 puints and i´ll try to improve my painting skills. I always liked the NL and with the release of the new DP and the novel Soul Hunter, i decided that the time is right to start with NL. But befor painting comes my most favorite part: CONVERSIONS. I know it's you army and that you can do whatever you want from it, but I'm not too sure about the Daemon Prince or the tormented faces on the Land Raider. Though they both look brilliant I kind of got the impression from 'Soul Hunter' that alot of the Night Hunter legion tried to resist the mutations of chaos. Dark Bjoern Posted August 29, 2010 Author Share Posted August 29, 2010 The faces should not be of any daemonic nature. Only icons added by the NL to increase the terror factor. I´m not using any daemons (with the exception of the DP), daemon engine upgrades, Defilers, Oblits, Possessed or something like that in my army. And from the novels it seems that the commanders of the different warhosts have a weak spot for daemonhood. So i think, fluffwise i´m fine with my army. I should add, the only things I don't like are the dead imp (I hate adding dead bodies in any form. ESPECIALLY being held in the hand of a daemon prince) and the studded shoulder on the dreadnought. I think a partial plasticard chaos star in some form would have been much better for that, but it's your model, and these are just my opinions. Looking good so far though. I think the D naught fist is plenty Night Lordish, the chest and head are however very reminiscent of sorcory and the 1ksons. i think if you switched the head up to something else or maybe made a high plasticard gorget in front of it you will have an awesome dread on your hands.
