Eggroll's Blood Angels

The Sang Guard looks good, tough I am not so sure about the half-blue wings. You got any clue to why you did it like that? B) Seems like there should either be blue in all the recesses or not at all, IMO. But hey, you're the master here. Love your work anyway ;)

Thanks, I think most people's reaction is they really like it or really dislike it. I wanted to do something similar to GW's but with the blue fade and I'm happy with the overall results.

Well, then all is well =) It is your army after all. Keep up the good work.

I dont know how you paint to this standard so quickly. Id still be on my first tactical squad trying to get this standard and failing too

Come to think of it I still havent finished my first tactical squad from when the Bangles came out last year.

Stunning work.

I have two criticisms....

1. I think you may have one too many weapons on the speeder.

2. You are too good, I think I may even hate you a little bit for it ;)

Fantastic work ^_^

Fantastic work ;)

Thanks ;) The assault cannon underneath is magnetized. Not sure about the rules but I just added it there to look cool, don't play the game though if I did I could remove it to be legal.

Here are more pics...had to wait till someone else posted so I could post more images:

Oh man, every time I see stuff you have painted it makes me want to never paint again because I dont think I can ever be that good, and it also so makes me want to buy an airbrush. That is some beautiful Blood Angels, Eggroll.

Love the land speeder. The red is so subtle. Its perfect. The blue on the librarian jumps off the screen. The osl is well done. Such a great thread. Love the work. Its just too good. If you will excuse me I am now going to go smash all my models and just play golf from now on. Ta.

Really great work!

continue the amazing work, eggroll. These just keep getting better and better. I was wondering, what colors did you use for the green weapons?

Thanks. Off the top of my head I think it was goblin green on a black basecoat then to scorpion green and then 75/25 of scorpion green and sunburst yellow. Final edge highlight with white.

I really love your work. It makes me want to get an airbrush. The blending is just so smooth.

Thanks...I always recommend people get an airbrush. It takes some time and requires a hefty initial investment but the time you save later and quality of work you can get with it is totally worth it.

Impressive army eggroll im speechless, the best blooad angels ever!

Whats your recipe for metals in the heavy bolters devastators?

Thanks in advance and keep this beauty army coming

Thanks. For the heavy bolters, it's just a boltgun metal basecoat which is then shaded using the airbrush. For shading I used turquoise ink for the blue green hue and then black ink for the darker shadows.

Thanks. Glow for plasma weapons is done with airbrush using enchanted blue on a white basecoat. Blue for cape was done by brush using mordian blue highlighted with enchanted and shadowed with 50/50 mix of mordian and black.

Weathering for guns and metallics were all done with airbrush using just black ink or turquoise ink for colour tones.

Not sure what parts you're referring to for the white?

Your work is inspirational to say the least. Every time you post an update I start building another Blood Angel marine. I then realize that mine will never look as good as yours and put them away. I don't know if this has been asked and answered before but have you considered doing some commission work? I for one would love to have at least a squad of marines painted by you and I can't be the only one thinking it either.

Dude your work is bad-ass! Looks amazing and you seem to knock it out very quickly too!

Though one thing is sticking out to me, the green OSL on the eyes of some of the latest marines is projecting onto the surface above the eye. Wouldn't the ridge above the lens prevent the light bleeding onto the upper area and force the light to be reflected to the lower area under the eye?
